DiBo69
Hi, unfortunately Affinity Photo has an extremely bad performance when I'm working with color gradients, no matter if the project has a big or small file size. Only a small adjustment leads to eating time of up to several minutes.... 😩 Does anyone have a solution ? Thanks Hardware: MacBook Pro / Big Sur Core I5 8 GByte RAM 256 GByte SSD (100Gbyte left)

RNKLN
The specs of my machine are similar. I don't encounter performance problems when applying a gradient layer. The only thing I noticed is that the gradient doesn't respond at all when I move the midpoint slider. Old Bruce
i have no problem with the speed but there is the problem with the Midpoints not showing up in the actual gradient on the pixel layer even though they are showing in the Gradient Editor from the Context Toolbar. No problem applying a Gradient to a Rectangle or Fill Layer. I seems as though the mid point an location of the gradient's colour stops are ignored by the Pixel Layer. This is on Mac OS 10.14.6 and I do have a Wacom with current drivers. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
DiBo69
Hi, thanks for your replies. After some additional tests it seems, that the problem occurs in combination with a number of more than 15 - 20 Layers within the project. I'll try to create a sample file in order to make it transparent to you. Thanks
