bbpix Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 New here and wondering what to do about crashing 100% of the time on an HDR, focus stack or even editing a Nikon RAW file. Win 10 with latest patches, i7, 32 gb RAM, 1060 card with acceleration turned off and on in Preferences. No other program I have crashes like this. Quote
Komatös Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Does your CPU have a graphics unit? If so, deactivate it in the bios and delete the drivers with the Display Driver Uninstaller. - DissplayDriverUninstaller - Chris B 1 Quote MAC mini M4 | MacOS Sequoia 15.5 | 16 GB RAM | 256 GB SSD AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9060 XT 16 GB | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.4351) Windows 11 Pro on VMWare Virtual Machine (on Mac) Affinity Suite V 2.6.3 & Beta 2.6 (latest) Interested in a free (selfhosted) PDF Solution? Have a look in %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports and %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports to see if there are any crashes stored. If so, can you upload to the forum? Also, check you aren't using any of the third party software that is known to cause problems: Chris B 1 Quote
bbpix Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 Thank you for the suggestions. I do have Capture One v.21 installed and renaming the folder lets Affinity Photo run. What are the implications of renaming the WIC64 folder? Crash dump before the folder renaming is attached. Help is appreciated. 4bcba8ad-abe4-430c-9273-6992bc4df801.dmp Quote
