Xzenor Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I'm blaming the hardware acceleration again in combination with running out of Video RAM.. It's not as bad as the first 1.9.0 release but this is in 1.9.1.979. Save document, restart affinity photo and reopen document and it's normal again so it's not exactly major but it is annoying and shouldn't happen. 2021-03-22_21-39-51.mkv Quote Windows Desktop user
Staff Chris B Posted March 23, 2021 Staff Posted March 23, 2021 Hey Xzenor, Sorry if you've been asked this before but what graphics card and driver do you have? I would keep OpenCL off for now until further improvements have been made and perhaps consider installing the beta to keep up with the changes that are being applied to OpenCL. Xzenor Posted March 23, 2021 Author Posted March 23, 2021 Nvidia GTX 980. Latest driver 461.92. Honestly, this is workable for me. I don't lose work because of it. It's an annoyance but that's all. I'm just reporting the bug because, well that's what you do with bugs. Report'm or else the devs don't know the problem exists. If it's no longer necessary for OpenCL related issues then just let me know and I'll stop reporting them until the next release. I've not seen a 'please! stop reporting this!' post yet like the one for the Unsplash bug 😅 Quote Windows Desktop user

'annoyances'. I think we'd always want to hear about them. You're also on the recent driver so I doubt it's that. Do you havean Intel card running as well or is this disabled in Device Manager? Check to see if that needs updating. Also, can you post a Benchmark? Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Xzenor Posted April 4, 2021 Author Posted April 4, 2021 Hi, sorry for the late reply... I forgot about it 😳 I do have some onboard Intel thingy but it's disabled in the bios. It doesn't show up in the Device Manager anymore. I have not seen the issue anymore after this and we're at 1.9.2 now so maybe it's fixed. I am curious about what kind of Benchmark you're referring to though. Something like 3DMark? Or one less gaming-related? Quote Windows Desktop user
