If it's just portrait photos, we are aware of this issue and it has already been logged with our developers. The workaround for now is to save the raw files locally and then they should load OK.

"Locally" means Photos? or Files?

It only seems to happen with raw portrait files imported from iphotos

Could you upload a problem photo here in a zip file, I think I may have stumbled upon a solution to the portrait raw pixelation problem and I’d like to test my solution.

Brand new to Affinity today but unfortunately not off to a great start. I have the same issue importing portrait raw files from iOS Photos (up-to-date iPad pro 2018, Nikon D750). The photos were imported straight to the iPad.

Portrait raw files do open successfully if copied from Photos to Files - I put it in the Affinity location - but I’d rather not have to do this every time I want to edit a portrait oriented photo. Any news on when this might be fixed?
