Nehemek
For a while I have wondered why the corners tool doesn't have an option to scale with the object (it can get messy when scaling) and now with the recently added contour tool the same can be asked about it. If the corner tool can be overlooked the contour tool really feels like it should have the option since it's result is similar to an object's outline. Medm
I would like such option too. To bake the appearance violates the concept of building up geometry non destructive. Yes, I just discovered that corners don't scale with object when I pasted some smaller (but detailed) pieces of vector graphics from a document into a much larger main document in Designer, even though I had enabled "Scale with stroke". The graphics looked crazy with giant corners. Do I really have to go back and convert all those little objects to curves in the original object? As you should only do when something is final. And really shouldn't have to do. This can really mess up workflows, efficiency and at the same time the reputation of the company. That's a problem, Serif. Waiting for fixes is a critical problem. I can't believe we're talking so many years. Darner
Noticed same issue still in v 2.2. Scaling with Contour tool requires "bake appearance. Have not found a way to "scale with object" on this one, and keep it none destructive.
TraitorJoe
Can't justify paying for v2. Bugs unfixed, features holes unfilled. Please change tack, Serif. 🙏
rnbutler87
I completely agree with everyone here. I've been using Affinity Designer since 2017, and seven years later, in 2024, it's surprising and frustrating that we still don’t have scalable corner radii as a feature. Figma offers this, and it would be fantastic to see something similar in Affinity. For instance, I’m currently working on a series of character designs in Affinity Designer 2. I need to copy and paste each character into Affinity Publisher to compile model sheets. With multiple poses per page, I need the flexibility to scale them up or down without distorting or destructively altering the corner radii, as everything needs to remain editable for this pilot project. At the moment, this isn’t possible, which is both limiting and disappointing.
