GeeJay Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 HI Guys, Just trying to get back into AP after a long absence. A lot of my images are in TIFF format, I see from AP that I am able to export as TIFF images, but not able to import TIFF files to work on, Why is that ?
Old Bruce Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 I have no problem opening TIFF files here on Mac OS 10.14.6 I can also use the menu command File > Place to 'import' a tiff file into an already open file. Where have these TIFF files come from? Meaning what program created them? Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Staff DWright Posted February 4, 2021 Staff Posted February 4, 2021 Affinity Photo can open TIFF file directly are you opening the file from a local dive or a cloud storage location and are you getting any messages. also can you please let us know the operating system that you are using
GeeJay Posted February 5, 2021 Author Posted February 5, 2021 Hi DWright, Yes I have tried to open from a separate drive, and from the desktop, no different really, and my OS for the Mac comp. is 10.13.6 with 16Gb Ram. Strange thing is in one of the tutorials, a TIFF is dropped into the document, which is why I thought I would do the same
Fixx Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Yes, all of them, open, place and drag&drop work. Either the file is damaged or there is problem with file permissions in Finder.
