Export Persona - PNG 24?

Recommended Posts

"PNG" is the new name for the preset that was poorly named "PNG-24" in older versions of Affinity. That one preset exports either 8 or 16 bits per channel and either one, two, three or four channels, depending on the Affinity document's pixel format. The one preset effectively outputs any one of six formats which could be called RGB PNG-24, RGBA PNG-32, RGB PNG-48, RGB PNG-64, Grey PNG-8, Grey PNG-16.

I recommend you create custom presets with names that are appropriate for particular export formats.

Thank you anon2

Mhhh... it seemed simpler to me. I only want to export pieces of graphics with transparencies. To do this I have always used PNG 24 to have a good quality.
You talk to me about creating presets, but I don't know how to do that. Do you have any tutorials on this?
Thanks

If the preset named "PNG-24" worked well for you before, then use the preset named "PNG" now; they are the same preset but with different name.

Again, the preset named "PNG" is the preset that was previously named "PNG-24". Getting transparency in the export is dependent on the document or selection having transparency.

Among other things, it seems that I cannot create presets. Everything is disabled

Presets that come with the app cannot be deleted or renamed. A new preset can be created only if the preset selector field is empty, and it will be empty only if the combination of controls do not match an existing preset.

It should have it if you set up your document with Transparent Background enabled.

You cannot create a preset unless you've made some change to the settings. For example, you could change the Pixel Format setting from Use Document Format to RGB 8-bit.

Hi I just want to make sure of something.  You do nt always have to have a transparent background in your document.  Even if you have a normal white background you can export like this screenshot.  I am not clear if you have seen this option but forgive me if you already know this.

Capture.PNG.cdbdc10af83120be87dc315d98b15f86.PNG

Microsoft - Like entering your home and opening the stainless steel kitchen door, with a Popup: 'Do you really want to open this door'? Then looking for the dishwasher and finding it stored in the living room where you have to download a water supply from the app store, then you have to buy microsoft compliant soap, remove the carpet only to be told that it is glued to the floor.. Don't forget to make multiple copies of your front door key and post them to all who demand access to all the doors inside your home including the windows and outside shed.

Apple - Like entering your home and opening the oak framed Kitchen door and finding the dishwasher right in front you ready to be switched on, soap supplied, and water that comes through a water softener.  Ah the front door key is yours and it only needs to open the front door.

But if you don't have the document set to have a Transparent Background, I don't think your exported PNG will have transparency.

Hi Walt, things good for you I hope.  I do this all the time.  I have not yet created document in Photo with a transparent backgorund.  I have attached screenshots best way I could demonstrate this.  Created new doc with white background then exported without background.  The other two screenshots are the imgaes from my desktop and in Preview.  If I now bring this into Design, there will ot be any white background.
