Windows 10 - Version 1.8.5.703

I have frequent problems reading jpg files with transparency. The first attached file is one example of such a transparent jpg, the second attached file is a screen capture of what I get when I open the image. I can provide other sample files if required.

Click on the triangle to expand the layers. Some may be masked others may be turned off for viewing.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thank you so much Old Bruce! I thought I had found a first bug in Affinity Photo! It works indeed. It seems so simple now that you have shown the solution. Thank you!

If it contains a clipping mask, Photo can export jpgs with a clipping mask.

To be honest, I don't know. It just appears that I sometimes receive such files from publishers, without knowing how they are made in the first place. I personally use PNG files when I need to build transparent pictures.
