J.T Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 I can't open a 16bit grayscale TIF file. The Photo crashes without messages. circle.tif
walt.farrell Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Are you able to open other files in the Beta? I can't open anything in 1.9.0.834 unless I disable hardware acceleration (Preferences, Performance) and restart Photo. But once I've done that your TIFF file opens fine for me. mia Taugts Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 I downloaded the file and tried it. In beta 1.9.0.791 as well as in version 1.8.5.703 the image can be opened and edited without any problems

myclay Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 If you have alongside your GPU a CPU with an integrated "GPU" (APU called), you might have to disable it in your bios. Assigning in your Graphics settings all resources to Affinity Photo might help as well. The file opens on my pc even thou I use an unrecommend slightly older Windows version.
