I am searching für a replacement of a Photoshop Workflow:

For non destruktive dotch and burn, i created a new layer with 50 % grey, just bei activating a checkbox when creating the new layer.

Setting to light mode or so - i do not know the correct name in EN.

Than using soft black or white brushes with low opacity worked very well?

Is there a similar possibility in AP?

Welcome to the forums just-marc :)

It's not possible to create a layer with 50% grey at the moment like in PS. As a workaround you could create a new Pixel Layer and use the Flood Fill Tool to fill it with 50% grey - RGB(128,128,128). You can then switch the 50% grey layer's Blend Mode to Soft Light. Hope this helps :)

Hi Marc,

1. Make a new Pixel Layer over the main image layer.

2. Use Edit -> Fill (or Matt) and set it to 50% grey

3. Set this new grey layer to Blend Mode "Overlay"

4. Use the brush and paint with white/black, swap with X.

Cheers :)

Edit: woops, Leigh posted while i was typing.
