Can i run affinity apps on ipad air 3 smoothly?

Hello! I wanna know, does affinity supports ipad air 3 smoothly? Since it has 3 gb ram,  does air 3 load heavy work? i will buy if its not issue with ram. Thanks

Welcome to the forums

I can confirm that the Affinity iPad apps are compatible with the iPad Air 3. In terms of 'heavy work' this is much more of an open question and is difficult to answer, as each project will vary.

Hopefully other forum members who have used this iPad more extensively than myself will be able to add more here!

I use a iPad Air 3 for AD and AP. I use documents containing multiple artboards, with multiple layers. And I place or copy vector curves from pdf’s (AutoCAD output or from concepts.app).

I don’t experience behaviour that I would expect from a lack of memory.

And I am able to open and edit every sample file without a problem.

edit: AP runs les smoothly on the sample files (I tried the rabbit Magicians and the floating fishes sample files) provided  by Serif. AP crashed when scaling/rotating/zooming multiple layer groups.

I have an iPad Air 2 (late 2014) which has only 2GB of RAM. I haven’t noticed any problems with AD, but I agree with @Markio that APh can struggle when working on complex documents.

I use these apps on a 6th gen model (2018) and never had a crash and it's quite responsive. Recently I made a panorama using 5 RAW files and it went as fast as my main computer.

The Air 3 has better specs than mine so you should be OK.

If only it crashed once in a while....that would give me a good reason to get the 2020 12,9 inch Pro....
