MoiraH
I'm migrating from PagePlus to Affinity Publisher, and would like to know if there's an equivalent feature to "WritePlus". When editing a story that's spread over two linked text frames that are not on facing pages, it's useful/essential to be able to see the story on one screen without having to flick back and forth between the pages. I've tried to find such a feature in Affinity but so far have drawn a blank. Can anyone help me with this please.

I and others have (feature) requested it: Alfred 1 Quote "The user interface is supposed to work for me - I am not supposed to work for the user interface." MoiraH
Thanks Jowday, apologies. I didn't find your post when doing a search. Doesn't help to re-emphasize how needed this function is.

The more that request it - especially with examples - the better. 🙂 Quote "The user interface is supposed to work for me - I am not supposed to work for the user interface." MoiraH
I meant doesn't "hurt" to emphasise it. I can't believe how many functions/features are lacking in Affinity. Don't know what their development team is prioritising, but basic functionality first would be a good idea. Jowday

Basic functionality is sometimes based on personal preferences. I am working with APublisher since the first beta and it got better since then. Yes, things are lacking in such a young product (naturally) and I am only using Indesign, when I need forms for print and online. That's it, more or less. To be honest, since the early days of PM / ID I used the "story editor" only for a short period. So a "story editor" would not even appear on my personal priority list. As said: Personal preferences.
