abn5x Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Dragging node fast - causes visual glitches and sticking nodes until the speed is slowed down or stopped entirely, then it updates the node's position. Screen_Recording_2020-06-27_at_19_18_04.mov
mfarooqi Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 anybody please tell me the practical use of such use? but nice you found the bug
Staff Sean P Posted June 29, 2020 Staff Posted June 29, 2020 Hi abn5x, Thanks for letting us know - I've reproduced this in both 1.8.3 and 1.8.4. I will get it passed on to development.
Staff MattP Posted June 29, 2020 Staff Posted June 29, 2020 Just off the top of my head, is this because your mouse got near the edge of the view (and hence, we hide the tool as we slightly pan the screen?) Matt

Matt Yes, it happens when the mouse is near the view's edges, didn't notice that because the stroke was set to 0. When set to something visible, the stroke still moves but the path disappears, though sometimes the blue path freezes while the black stroke still moves.
Staff MattP Posted June 29, 2020 Staff Posted June 29, 2020 I can see why it's doing this behaviour then - it's deliberate, but possibly not hugely helpful in the Node Tool?
