SusanK
We have people work on the same Affinity file. For example, a file is created on one person's computer and a second person completes the project on their computer. Affinity is searching for the image links. How can Affinity files be used by people working on different computers without transferring original images? In other words, only 1 person at a time is working on the file. They then transfer the file to another person to continue working on the file. Why don't the images embed in the Affinity file without having to link to the original file location on the computer? Embedded instead Linked files/images. In reality, however, the original files are still transferred because they are part of the document, so its size increases. Why not? It depends on what you choose in Document Setup (Image Placement Policy). Or change it in Resource Manager, select document/image, Embed button. As Carl said, a more complete description, and possibly screenshots from both to illustrate the issue, would help. One common problem, though, is having different fonts installed on the two computers.
