soma
Hi, When I export pngs in export persona, it doesn't export me with the correct resolution. it's about 1/3 the size. For example, even if the iPhone X were to come out with 1125×2436, it would still be 375×812. I'm using default export preset. How do I export correct resolution as same as I made? Thanks for any helps. Edited April 17, 2020 by soma

Pšenda
DPI on export image is 72. DPI in Document Setup is? And document unit is pixels? Pšenda
216/72=3 917/305=3 Somewhere you have set to export when DPI is changed, which will reduce the resulting image. soma
where do you know the setting about this?
Pšenda
Your document settings are weird. Document type "Print". Why, if you Export as Pixel. Dimensions ,6 and ,8? It looks like you used a document that was originally intended for something else (Print) and has some settings left. You can either try inserting your file (if it's not too large) to look at it, or try creating a new document - right for your needs (iPhone X), and transfer your images to it. soma
I resolved this problem! When I set DPI to 72 from 216, I was able to output with a regular resolution though it was dpi 72. Thanks for your advice!!

Thanks for any helps. The Export Persona considers a document DPI of 144 (2 x72) to indicate that the document is double resolution artwork, and a document DPI of 216 (3 x 72) to indicate triple resolution artwork. To get the full sized triple resolution export with 216 DPI when the document DPI is 216, select "3x" in the scaling control for the slice export. Similarly an export with "2x" will give the two thirds sized double resolution version with 144 DPI, and an export with "1x" will give the one third sized standard resolution version with 72 DPI. (DPI should be termed PPI, meaning pixels per inch, but that's another story.) soma, R C-R and Wosven

As I understand it (which is not very well) this is done to facilitate designing artwork for use in the iOS/iPadOS coordinate system (more about that here), thus the addition of the "@2x" & "@3x" suffixes to the export file names. This is not well documented in the help files, nor is it obvious from the UI. It also probably isn't something anybody would want unless they were designing artwork for the iOS/iPadOS ecosystem, so I think it would be better if there was a 'scaling' option of some sort in the panel to enable or disable this. soma 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
