CopaRAM Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I have been using Nik collection and Topaz Denoise and Sharpen as plugins as late as a couple of hours ago with no problems I just opened another image and tried to access the plugins and they are no longer available. I have tried rebooting the computer and re-installing the plugins with no result. Is anyone else suddenly had this problem? Quote

John Rostron Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 @CopaRAM, I think that you would attract some more responses to your problem if you used a meaningful title to your tgread. I would suggest: "Nik and Topaz Plugins no longer accessible". What version of the Nik plugins are you using? Could you provide a screenshot of the Edit > Preferences > Photoshop plugins dialogue? I assumed that it would be sufficiently obvious to all, and that this would show the absurdity of the title used. emmrecs01 1 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605. CopaRAM Posted April 10, 2020 Author Posted April 10, 2020 Found the problem it seems I need to convert the file to a tiff or jpeg and all plugins are usable again. Seems strange but happy it's working Thanks guys I solved the problem myself, the reason for the strange name is that I thought I was putting up my own name Quote

I have tried this a couple of different ways. Open Sony ARW raw file, make some basic adjustments and develop. I have tried the background layer and a duplicate background layer. Both ways, I access the Topaz Sharpen AI plugin and absolutely nothing happens. What are you doing differently. Quote
CopaRAM Posted April 15, 2020 Author Posted April 15, 2020 Hello brada, all I did was to revert back to my pervious workflow and process the RAW files in Photolab and export this to Affinity (as a tiff file) where I use Topaz and Nik Collection as pluggins. I now have no problems with either. Hope this works for you Quote
