Can't see any tools at opening/Cant see buttons to export/ Cant see document setup button

Just updated. Please check video.

- I cant see the document settings button sometimes. But sometimes I do. 

- I can't see the button to export in the dialog as it goes beyond visible boundaries

- Every time ADesigner open it doesn't show any tools menu or side tool bar. 

- It also randomly crashes when I try to export a simple image. See attached image.

It looks like the tools missing problem is also random... sometimes it works, sometimes it doest.

Also, the document settings disappear when I resize the canvas. Before, it works. When I change the sizes, it wont show again for that particular file.

The Document Setup button only shows in the context toolbar when in the Move tool and when no layers are selected.  In the move tool you can click on an area outside the document on the screen, or press esc (maybe more than once depending where you are at), or click under all layers in the layer panel if the layer list is short.  All these should make it so there are no layers selected.  Personally I just use the menu File>Document setup... that works no matter what the tool or layer selection.

On the export button the window has for some reason been stretched down past the edge like maybe the resolution of the screen has been reduced?  I really don't know how you can grab the bottom edge to shrink it.  To see the Cancel Save buttons you can click on the small up arrow to the right of the Save As: name.  A reset of all of AD may help correct it, but you know you can loose a lot of tweaks you may have made to the UI by doing the reset.

I've seen something in the forum about a known bug where if AD is closed after pressing tab (to hide the UI) that it can stick and from then on I believe you can have the problem opening with items missing.  You could maybe search out the other forum entries, I don't remember what exactly was suggested, if anything other than it's being looked at.

I have no suggestion for the crashing or random tools missing, knock on wood I haven't seen that issue.

Hi Isabel,

It looks like the red rectangle in your video is just very big, so when trying to click off the Canvas, it is still selecting it - if you zoom out you should see the bounding box which you can then click outside of to deselect.

The export button getting cut off could be because you've previously been working in fullscreen and expanded the export dialog. When coming out of fullscreen that size is still remembered, and causes the button to get pushed off screen. If you return to fullscreen and display the dialog again you should be able to resize it to something suitable.

We used to get a few reports of issues with the Save Dialog hanging like you've shown and it seemed to be an issue with Sierra/High Sierra. It was reported to development who believed it was a bug with Apple. That said we've not seen any occurs of it using Mojave or Catalina. 

Regarding the issue with the toolbars not appearing on startup, would you be able to upload a copy of your application data to the link below please so I can investigate?

Thanks a lot to both of you. Yes to all you said. My background was too big and did't realise that was the problem. I was more into "oh no this new version is full of bugs"... 🙄Sorry about that.

Yes I am on Sierra and Im getting that blank dialog every now and then, never before though.

I fixed the export button dialog issue too following your instructions. It of course had to happen for the first time ever just when I updated to the new version for me to get mental and think it was another one bug.

I've just dropped that into my machine and not getting any issues with the Toolbars and Panels not appearing. Is it possible you've closed the app down after using Tab (Toggle UI)? If so this state is remembered when restarting the app and you will need to remember to toggle it back into view. There was an issue in 1.7.3 that was causing the UI to not re-appear after a reboot when pressing Tab, however this has now been resolved.

Hmmm if I remember well which could be I don't as I was rather exhausted, last night when this happened a couple of times I'd swear I pressed the toggle Tab key to see if tools would display and it was not working either. I had to bring them back through the menu and this is something I don't think I'd do as my first option, especially as I'm quite used to use the toogle ui tab key and I think that'd be my first reaction. But sorry I cannot be 100% sure on this though, I might be wrong and not remember what was the sequence. I'll come back to this post should this happen again which I hope it doesn't.
