JDWrightBrain Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Strokes expand in unexpected ways. I attached an example to show the issue. I've colored the strokes in dark red to illustrate the problem. When I select the strokes and go to "Layers" and choose "Covert to Curves" I get all of these extra loops at the ends. These strokes were copied and pasted from a larger piece of art and they behaved the same way in the new document. New strokes drawn in a New document DO NOT behave the same way. I first noticed this when I created a PDF from a piece of artwork and the strokes were expanded in the process. I attached the PDF as well. I am using Affinity Designer 1.8 - downloaded on 2/27. faun copy.pdf Jowday 1 Quote
Staff Sean P Posted March 2, 2020 Staff Posted March 2, 2020 Hi JDWrightBrain, Are you able to upload a copy of the document prior to the expand stroke so we can investigate it please? Thanks Quote

Staff Sean P Posted March 3, 2020 Staff Posted March 3, 2020 Thanks for that! I've reproduced this and passed it on to development. Quote
nitro912gr Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Hey thanks for noticing that in the new document it does not occur, I can now at least workaround it till is fixed. Still happens with the star shapes and the rest of the ready made shapes of affinity. JDWrightBrain Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 I can confirm that expanding the star and double star shapes are still broken in AD 1.8. Quote
