who_cares Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Still no way to select objects with similar color? Some of us would like to drop AI if this function were made available. I am always using the select similar option in AI to separate colors or to just quickly edit all objects with a particular color. gary danang, Markio and Ivan_M 3 Quote

Ivan_M Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Yes, that would be very useful. Also a powerful objects finder like in Corel DRAW(which can select objects with multiple similar characteristics, like object type, line thickness, font etc) would be very nice too. Quote

The implementation is Coreldraw is terrible though. It doesn't work when you have group objects! So, you have to choose between keeping your grouped object grouped, or ungrouping each and every single object, just to be able to do a selection of similar objects. Plus, every time you want to use it, you have to answer 6 thousand questions across 3 or 4 tabs. It's so bad it's almost comical. And Corel also has almost no hope of resolving it. It's been like that for decades already. There are some macros though that do a decent job of filling in this gaping hole in Corel's $500.00 software. Quote
Ivan_M Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Yeah, it's slow and ugrouping is an issue, but amount of available parameters makes it crucial tool. It's not about implementing exact same pattern, but a good example of there to start and what to improve. Quote
