p_mac Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 (edited) Is there a chance where, just as with MacOS, that a Source panel will be part of the editing process of Focus Merge on the iPad? and if not, why? Edited February 19, 2020 by p_mac
Staff Chris B Posted February 21, 2020 Staff Posted February 21, 2020 For 1.8 release? No. In the future? I honestly have no idea. I suspect this might be to do with having fixed studios on iPad and no pop-up or movable panels like on desktop. How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
p_mac Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Thanks Chris B. In order to use this on the iPad ones needs to be very precise in taking the photos. I am not a macro person, but I do use this to help get a series of images as focused as possible and if there is movement, such a a flag blowing in the wind, I can use the source panel to incorporate it into the image. Nice to have on the iPad but seems to be rather limiting, for me anyway. I added it to the list of ‘wants’ in that thread.
Staff Chris B Posted February 24, 2020 Staff Posted February 24, 2020 I've just checked with Andy and it sounds like it is something we definitely want to add—we just haven't yet. It's definitely on the radar though How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
p_mac Posted February 25, 2020 Author Posted February 25, 2020 Thanks Chris for the info. While I'm here, I would like to point you to a post of mine that is referencing a problem that I asked about prior, you were able to reproduce it then as well. In this topic "unwanted selection line", iPad beta. I went back to September 2019. This problem has not been fixed but it has expanded to refine, and to paint brush. You did refer this to the devs but don't know if this is going to be fixed. Do you know?
