Cintiq touch rotate canvas

Been looking around and see some people were alredy reporting this back in 2017... Does it work and it's only me or still not possible?.  It makes my workflow quite slow while paintig and can't find a solution. I'm on Adesigner MacOs Cintiq touch.

Fixed it>

go to Affinity Photo/Designer Preferences, Tools section and tick Enable Canvas Rotation with Trackpad if you have one available. This one rotates the view freely using a two finger rotation gesture.

 

why on earth this is disabled, I have no clue.

Just guessing but maybe they think it would be annoying to rotate the canvas accidentally?

Yeah thought so too.. it's just that I didn't expect it as I don't remember having it off by default on past versions. I can tell you the so so so many times I would accidentally rotate it with the touchpad and yes... really annoying

Is this possible on Windows?
I don't see the option for the trackpad under the tools menu in designer.
I'm using a cintiq on windows 10 with touch gestures, but there's no response on the rotation gesture but pinch to pan and zoom works.

Yes, it's possible but only in the current beta version.

Enable Canvas-Rotation with ALT + Scroll Wheel

In the current customer version is it possible  the Canvas to turn in 15 degree steps. You can setting via shortcut.

So I checked that it it works with mouse and Alt but it still doesn't work with touch how you'd expect it to. Not like say sketch book pro or even photoshop now days

In version 2.0 for Windows, touch/gesture rotation of the canvas still does not work? The lack of easy canvas rotation is a deal breaker for using the program for drawing, without it the program is useless. I was checking the program out for a possible alternative to Adobe to recommend to my students, but without easy gesture rotate, I cannot recommend Affinity as a usable alternative, and that is a shame. Could you please fix this?
