chillywilly
Yes. This is of critical importance. I want to use Shift to temporarily hold an aspect ratio. I want to use Option to hold the center point as I adjust the crop. I want the crop edges to stay within the boundary of the photo.
klab
It is already June 2022 and still no change? Quite a disappointment... Is there a chance to add it soon? It really is an important thing that prevents me from making a full transition from the competition. Thanks
neoDIRECT
Whenever I give Affinity Photo a chance, after a few minutes I hit my head against a wall like here - where do I press shift + alt and nothing happens? I'm not changing croping with center locked? I am looking in google - how to do it, hoping that I do not know the keyboard shortcut and I can see that the request for this option has been ignored for two years. So I open Photoshop and that's where it works. Another attempt failed. horanyia
X-Raym
Oh yes we definitely a mouse modifier for adjust cropping area from center, symmetrically. Here how it works in other softwares (Photoshop, but not the only one): Very handy to handle symmetrical images (also photo for sure) Thanks for your consideration! horanyia
horanyia
Dear Affinity team — any news on this??? People have been asking this fairly basic and, quite frankly, necessary feature for YEARS...I'm somewhat disappointed that it's not included in the V2 package... Please, please, pretty please, do something about it! klab
polyflakes
Came here to ask for this, found this, i'm in shock, really, i will never ever recommend this software to anyone who's halfways serious about this work again. horanyia and PaulEC 1
davidkuri
Practically every time I use the Crop tool I am intuitively holding Ctrl to scale it around the center. This is, to me, a basic feature that is implemented for objects all across the Serif Suite, and its absence for the Crop tool is really puzzling. I hope this gets implemented soon. The Crop Tool has several improvements in 2.1, including this one. chillywilly 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
