The I changed the color of the shape that's over the white line to match the background color. Here a demo pic; Quote
GarryP Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 You can do the above more simply, and without rasterising – a destructive process – by grouping the layers and using an Erase Blend Mode, see first attached image. However, this (and the previous example) will not produce the required result as the ‘ends’ of the curve are not rounded as in the original example. To achieve that you will probably be better Breaking the curve at the necessary locations with the Node Tool and removing the unwanted parts (see second attached image). mpowell 1 Quote

GarryP Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 Sorry but I don’t know what you want to achieve that has not already been shown. I’ve attached a GIF showing another option that can be used in some cases. mpowell 1 Quote
PixelPest Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 While Garry´s method will end in an infinity loop path you might consider to break the "Pie" at the middle point and delete after converting to Curves: mpowell 1 Quote

The resulting open curve object can then be non-destructively rotated about its center & given whatever stroke width & cap type you want. mpowell 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.7 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
