VectorMax Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Hi all and others ! When I bring a text in PUBLISHER by the clipboard, coming from DESIGNER,everything is fine. But as soon as I want to chain it with a new text block, the characters appear very small(example visible below ...) Is there a solution? Thanks !
Catshill Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Have you tried resetting defaults before creating the second text frame?
VectorMax Posted December 24, 2019 Author Posted December 24, 2019 I did not find the "default settings" you are talking about ... I have a "workaround" solution: on AF Designer you must first select the TEXT itself and not the ZONE, and then everything is fine in Publisher. But I thought that between these two applications the correspondence was total ... Thanks Catshill... happy Christmas !!

I understand selecting the text, but what do you mean by selecting the ZONE? In Publisher, how did you create those two text frames? In particular, if you look at the frame on the right, you'll see two nodes on the lower right of the frame. One is attached to the bounding box, the other is outside the box. When creating the two frames, did you ever use the one that is detached (outside) from the frame, for either frame? -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. VectorMax Posted December 24, 2019 Author Posted December 24, 2019 Hello Walt 1) By selection of the ZONE (terms in Affinity doc...) I mean the box, the block, the frame.....2) In Publisher I therefore did not draw an frame, since it was dropped by copy and paste.3) I then reduced this frame from below so as to make the red arrows and the eye visible.4) I clicked on the arrow and I drew the second frame ... and that's it.5) I have never used the knot at the bottom right. Thanks
walt.farrell Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Thanks, VectorMax. I'm not sure what's happening, then. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Catshill Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 My suggestion would be to create and link the text frames in APub. Copy the text and paste it into the first of the two frames. Setting a base style in APub will help in terms of consistency.
