I have been trying to update to the latest version of Publisher 1.7.0 but with no luck. It just does nothing. i have also tried uninstalling and downloading this version again it does nothing. Does not install. Been fine up to now. Ideas? -
Hello.When I make Photos with my 2000d in Raw and put These in Affinity Photo it always get pink. In Canon Digital Photo Professional 4 it dont. Can you please help me? -
Hi everyone, I have not long managed to get a Huion GT220V2 Graphics Drawing Display Tablet/Monitor. I have gone to use Affinity Photo (on windows latest os, and affinity version 1.6.5.135). When I put the pen to the display affinity photo changes the tool instantly to the background eraser tool. I cannot use any tool with my pen and display as when I try it just change the tool back to the background eraser tool? Has anyone else had this? I have even tried the beta version and the same thing happens! Anyone got a fix? Thanks! Billie -
Hello! I am having a curious problem with typefaces in both Designer and publisher, which is that a particular font (Akzidenz Grotesk BQ regular) never shows. It shows alright in Photoshop, MS word, and also correctly installed in the font directory (windows 10). In fact, when I open the character tab, I have a "bold", and two "medium" fonts (the two medium are the same) and no "regular". The same panel in photoshop shows "bold", "medium" and "regular". (postscript OTF) Is it a known bug or something I have missed? The typeface/fonts comes from Berthold website (bought there) so not likely to be corrupted. I have attached a couple of screenshots Thanks a bunch...

Windows 10 Newbie here - Can someone point me to a comprehensive list of keyboard shortcuts for AP Windows? I'm doing fairly well learning AP but I miss the keyboard shortcuts I used (and am still using) when working in PS CC. I have the Affiniti Photo Workbook and have pored over the shortcuts there. I've looked at the downloadable shortcuts for Windows. None of those sources provide all the shortcuts I'm hoping are available. I've learned about two dozen shortcuts, but I've been used to many more in PS CC. The ones which I "need" right now are those for Highlights/Shadows, Brightness/Contrast, Curves, Exposure, Vibrance, and Color Balance. I'm sure there are others which aren't springing into mind at the moment. -
I'm trying to touch-up my Drone photos, but they look horrible in Affinity Photo compared to Windows Preview or even Gimp Here, the original file has a very very smooth gradient coming from that lamp. But as soon as I open the file in Affinity Photo, the glow from the lamp turns in to blocky color bands.. It's almost like it tries to convert it to web-only colors or something because the quality is horrible. (below, you will probably see some banding in your web-browser, it's actually WORSE in Affinity Photo) Download this image and view it locally, to see it without banding. If you still see banding when you open it locally, sorry your monitor sucks

Hi, so I have this question, I am using MacBook now, but want to change for windows in few months. If I buy Affinity photo today and install on MacBook, can I install it in the future on new Pc with windows without buying another copy? How it works? Greets.

Hey everyone! It would be great if there was an option to lock and unlock all children (may be groups themselves) of a group. While I posted this in the Designer for iPad subforum, this could be very helpful in the other versions of Affinity software as well. Personally, I just think it's most useful in Designer, since the number of objects and layers can add up quite a lot. Best wishes, Shu -

I'm new on Windows. I mostly ran Linux in past. My question is how do I acquire Affinity? Windows is kind of confusing too. I understand there are two ways: Buy from Serif's site. In that case, will it be a digital download? Then how will I receive the activation key or license? And if I change or reinstall Windows, will my key still work or I have to buy another license? Buy from Microsoft store. In that case, will I have a license? Or Microsoft will remember it for me? Will Microsoft store restores the affinity apps back free of cost if I reinstall Windows or I have to buy again? -
Hello! I read the license but I still got a specific question that I'm not 100% sure. I have bought Designer for personal use. I also work at a company where I got tasks where I can use Designer. My question is: Can I use my own Designer license at work where basically I do not own the computer (Windows)? It is only me who uses the computer (and the software) but it belongs to the company. My guess is no, but I need confirmation. Thank you! Levi

When Affinity Photo was last on the secondary monitor, and the secondary monitor is then disconnected, Affinity Photo will be started off screen instead of on the primary monitor. In my case I have a graphics tablet with monitor that I plug in and out quite frequently. It's not really a bug and more of a feature, so I put it here, but I hope it still gets "fixed". For everyone else with this problem: what worked for me was to shift-rightclick the icon in the taskbar, click "Move" and then use the arrow keys to bring it back. -
Hi everyone, i am thinking about swiching from Adobe to Affinity, but have two questions i´d like to be answerd first (so far): -I have a Windows PC and a Windows Laptop, if i buy the programms can i donloade them on to each of them? or do i have to buy them for each of the two systems? (found only a apple version of that question, and i´m unsure about windos) - I want to make sure if i got it right: Each of the Programms is 55€ or all of them (still cheaper than adobe) sorry for misspellings or wrong wording (German here) allready thak you, Ben Han

I guess this has been requested before, but the fact that this very helpful tool is not yet in Affinity Designer, makes me feel envious of my workmates using Adobe Illustrator. I'm not talking about the graph, but the tool that gives you the capability to adjust the width of strokes at a selected point. Can you guys confirm if you are working on it, please? I would get very excited! -

In some Designer tutorials I have seen an option to create system palettes, I'm using the windows version and I can't find this option, Is there any way to do it? -
I pulled the trigger on Designer yesterday, but in my excitement (and inattention to detail on my phone) I purchased the Windows version, but I'm on a Mac. Can I swap the Windows license for a MacOS license? EDIT: Scratch that. Customer service refunded my purchase promptly and now I'm downloading the correct version. -
It has been pointed out numerous times since this was released for Windows 10.... they have not added use of the button on the pen. It makes using the device as often intended (in tablet) impossible for many features like clone. I'm glad they could make sure to have this working for the iPad Pro, but a year later we are still begging for this to be fixed. This is embarrassing.

Dear Affinity Designer Community, does anyone know when the IOS 11/12 assets are coming to the windows version of Affinity Designer? I can only find the iOS 10 Assets in the current version 1.6.5.123 of Affinity Designer. I dont understand why they are already on the new Affinty Designer app for iPad but not on the windows version. It would be nice if someone could explain me whats going on there. Thanks for the answers in advance! -
Any recommendations about high performance desktop, for best fluent and quality work with Affinity ? cpu, motherboard, graphic card, monitor, discs...etc., each separately, or a good, already integrated desktop. Thanks

I found video tutorials for creating the Panorama images. However, when I tried the technique in Affinity Photo, I could not find the "crop to opaque" option. Where do I find this - is it not available in Affinity Photo for windows -
ok, here's a question for the heroes out there. I have a shot of a covered bridge that I have added storm clouds to and darkened. (see attachment) I want to add a warm glow from several of the windows where the light appears to come from lamps hung above the windows but coming out the windows - similar to Thomas Kinkade paintings. anyone have any ideas? I was going to post this elsewhere but the topic was closed to further comment. There have been many postings on the relationship between PagePlus and Publisher. When the Affinity range was being introduced I remember reading that the aim was to reach design professionals who worked with Macs. It would appear that Serif were not turning their backs on PagePlus users but all users of Windows. Along the line this has changed. I assume Serif have become aware that there are a substantial number of professionals working on Windows but that does not warrant the work/cost that would be involved in providing compatibility for the PagePlus customers they were happy to discard. This is not written as a bitter PagePlus user. I have tried PagePlus at various times and have X9 installed, but I have been a happy user of InDesign since it was first introduced. I am now retired and do much less with DTP so I stick with InDesign CS6 rather than pay a subscription. Publisher seemed to offer the possibility of a reasonably priced up to date alternative but I am put off by the feeling that Serif have shown that loyalty to customers is not their prime aim. Which is a great shame as there is much to like and look forward to with Affinity.

Hi, I am running an art studio in Berlin (lifelike-figures.com), I shoot my own art/products and need to edit the photos then. I am more practical, not a computer nerd. Have been using a super old CS2 for editing for ages, but- surprise!- it is really not compatible anymore with my windows7 :(. I just bought and installed Affinity Photo, I thinks it's a great software. I tried to learn it using tutorials- but I hate tutorials, not my type of learning :(. I am looking for someone in Berlin (I am located at Neukölln), who is dealing with photoediting a lot and professionally, who is good at teaching, good at using this software and can bring my very old photpshop knowledge UP TO DATE! I would apprechiate if that person could come to my studio for 1 or two hours per week until I am "fluent" at affinity photo :). Of course I pay, price can be discussed. German speaking person preferred, I speak english well, but it would be easier in the end. Anyone interested? Best Lisa -
I'm hoping someone may be able to help. I have Designer for Windows and iPad. I have been working on a file with a fairly large number of layers, not more than two hundred, in the Windows version 1.6.5.123. I saved the file to OneDrive. I opened the file on Designer for iPad version 1.6.2.42. it took a very long time to open and showed what looked like part of the file, but not the entire file. So I closed the file. I went back to the computer and opened the file there. It is now missing many layers. The file size on the disk appears to be the same, but I cannot see any of the missing content. I went into OneDrive and reviewed previous versions, but none of them were recent enough to have any of the content. Is there any hope I can get those layers back? Is this a regular issue when moving from desktop to iPad if the file is large or complex? I did search the forums but did not find any discussions of this. I apologize if this has already been covered.
