  1. A set of holiday styles I whipped up quickly for a friend. Figured I'd share them out to anyone that may find a use for them. Find this and more at https://dscape-llc.com/affinity
  2. Happy new year! In previous versions of AD I was able to simple double click on any .afstyle or .afpalette file and AD would install it automatically. Now it says the files are corrupt. But if I go through the Style Studio palette's menu, it works, but each file has to be selected one at a time, it won't allow me to select a group of files and import them at once. This whole approach is super tedious. With each beta we have to reload all our styles, palettes, etc. And then we have to do it again for APhoto. I can't wait for the APublisher beta update process, lol... PLEASE consider creating a shared, central location for ALL Affinity presets, styles, palettes, etc. in the user's Library or Documents folder, that is independent from the apps. Thanks for all you do.
  3. Is there not a way to add my saved styles, which are quite a few now, all at once? They way it is now on beta, its only one at a time. This is real time consuming. Can we multiclick at least on this? May a drop down like PS does to add styles in bulk?
  4. If I create a layer style and I would like for it to scale proportionately whether the document is 72 ppi or 300 ppi , what do I need to do set this up? I know that you always get the scale with object checkbox in each effect but how does this play into setting up what I want to do? I have found that styles I have already made that looked great in the document I created to make the styles, but when you use those styles on different size objects, the effects are blown out of proportion. PS has scale effects which solves this.
  5. Here's a story to illustrate when this feature is useful: In Designer I applied a style to all the buttons and text in a UI design for an iPad app. When we started testing the app we found that the text was difficult to see so I created a new style with higher contrast. Because I had used that style on about fifty different items, it took me twenty five minutes to select each one and apply the new style to each. Here's the actual feature request: The styles in microsoft word (and also in CSS web design) are nice because once you apply a style to a section of the document, you can edit that style directly and all the portions of the document currently following that style will automatically update. It would be really wonderful if affinity could also do this. A difficulty: Sometimes I apply a style but then make changes to an individual item so that it doesn't exactly match the settings of the original style. In this case, it might be best to just remove that item from the list of items following the style so that it won't get updated later when we make changes to the original style.
  6. I have spent a few hours playing with the trial version of Designer. It seems to work like a charm, however, I don't seem to be able to export SVG images with CSS style sheets, either external or internal (CorelDraw works quite good in that respect). In Designer, all SVG style information appears to be in the form of in-line styles, resulting in unnecessarily large file sizes and making it difficult to use various css features and/or script manipulation of SVG images. Is this something you may be considering for future—hopefully not very distant—releases?
  7. Check out a few new layer styles I came up with today! Enjoy! Plastic Rainbow.afstyles.zip
  8. I am wondering if there is a way to add additional color styles. I see that there is glass, metal, rainbow and others. I want to use some sort of gold foil or glitter. Is that possible?
  9. Would be useful to have this option for when using CSS to alter SVG in websites so we don't have to edit the code or use !important. (such as the bold bit in this sample) <path d="M1082.7…………86,320.174C1080.46,339.061 1082.76,370.645 1082.76,414.882L1082.76,727.84Z" style="fill:black;fill-rule:nonzero;"/>
  10. Hi, I've just been experimenting with exporting to SVG and importing the code into HTML so I can restyle with CSS but after trying a few options (not all of them...) it seems every path has a style already set which overrides my CSS style sheet. Is there a way to export without the style tags so I don't have to go through and delete them? Heres an example of what I mean: its the bold bit that I have to delete for every path. <path d="M1082.76,727.84L1002.6,727.84L1002.6,414.882C1002.6,378.12 1000.31,350.549 995.71,332.178C991.114,313.79 980.222,297.89 963.039,284.44C945.843,270.999 926.018,264.265 903.56,264.265C862.376,264.265 827.905,281.12 800.172,314.815C772.43,348.511 758.564,393.607 758.564,450.107L758.564,727.84L678.414,727.84L678.414,30.9654L758.564,30.9654L758.564,307.161C794.98,234.328 847.06,197.899 914.793,197.899C945.08,197.899 972.051,203.861 995.71,215.774C1019.36,227.686 1037.48,243.345 1050.08,262.745C1062.67,282.145 1071.27,301.286 1075.86,320.174C1080.46,339.061 1082.76,370.645 1082.76,414.882L1082.76,727.84Z" style="fill:black;fill-rule:nonzero;"/> thanks Gary
  11. i was playing with the styles today and when applying the multiple styles on all styles the images goes gray and washed out and for example if adding the style multiple times and if you want to go back in history to the starting point and image stays with the last style change maybe doing something wrong thanks
  12. Make a character panel that can be snapped to the side-bars (much like layers, effects, styles etc) This makes global & multiple character & paragraph style changes easier to implement.
  13. Hi, I've just had a short glimpse at the trial but these things would make this tool great for UI design (forget Sketch because of performance): Paragraph and character styles Automatic style updating or some easy-to-use alternative Different artboards in one view to design flows Easy-to-use symbols to complement the outsourced embedded files In the help it says: Am I missing something or text attributes are not part of styles? Please include this on the roadmap and the tool will finally destroy Adobe :P.
  14. Hi, I want to scale my artwork and I want the "pressure strokes" to scale too. When I down scale my artwork the strokes become thicker – they are not affected. What must I do to get the styles down sized? Thanks in advance! OP
