Overprint preview, etc.
Puck replied to Puck's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
=== Hello Dominik, I'm 100% with you. I do not criticize Serif. The probability of a later implementation is very high, even with an own persona. And until then there are different workarounds, as you have already described. Cheers, Puck -
Overprint preview, etc.
Puck replied to Puck's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
Hallo Dominik, vielen Dank Ich bin mir dessen durchaus bewusst ("no answer does not mean anything personal towards you. Sometimes ..."), deswegen ja auch der fette Smilie hinter dem Satz -- Ich denke, die Entwickler müssen noch einiges tun, eine Überdruckenvorschau ist essentiell wichtig für ein Layoutprogram, wenn es in der Druckvorstufe Anwendung finden will, ebenso eine Voransicht in CMYK (wenn man denn ein Dokument in RGB anlegt) -- "Soft Proof" ist nicht der Weisheit letzter Schluss, will ich meinen. PS. Danke für den Link Grüße, Puck -

This is probably a stupid question, but I want to buy a drawing tablet and wonder if Affinity Software (Mac) is compatible with all tablets on the market. Kind regards, Puck (iMac 2017, 16 GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB, MacOS 10.14.3)- 32 replies

Hi there, I want to insert an image into the selection of another image. Can I do this with AP? In Photoshop there is the function "Insert into selection". Is there such a thing in AP? I didn't find anything. Regards, Puck (iMac 2017, 16 GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB, MacOS 10.14.3)

Hello team, I miss in Publisher the possibility of an overprint preview, as well as the possibility to set individual colors or objects to "overprint" or "cut out" (hope this is the right term, maybe "omit" is better?). I did not find a satisfying answer in the forum. Are these features available and I just can't find them? Regards, Puck

Affinity Photo Customer Beta (1.7.0.111)
Puck replied to Andy Somerfield's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
I'm pretty happy with this beta 111, to be honest Well done, team !! -
No need to get unfriendly

Then maybe you should quote the person you're responding to, right? Then everything is much clearer. That's what the citation function is for.

Well, that wasn't clear

I'm all on your side! My question was meant to be: Why should a text frame without a cursor in it show a ruler? Does that make sense?

It works pretty well for me (Beta 238). (iMac 2017, 16 GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB, MacOS 10.14.3)

Possible bug in 1.7.0.110 perspective filter
Puck replied to Nana's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
Yes, you're right, Chris. If I distort the photo too quickly (but I really have to do it VERY quickly), this unwanted effect appears. If I work at "normal" tempo, the effect doesn't appear. -
Possible bug in 1.7.0.110 perspective filter
Puck replied to Nana's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
Hi Chris, the Live Perspective filter works very well for me. Beta 110, Metal On/ Off! Maybe I don't understand something here. (iMac 2017, 16 GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB, MacOS 10.14.3) -

Possible bug in 1.7.0.110 perspective filter
Puck replied to Nana's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
Seems to work pretty well Beta 110 (iMac 2017, 16 GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB, MacOS 10.14.3) -
As DAM I use Aperture (Apple) or the GraphicConverter (Lemkesoft). But you're right, a media browser would be helpful for smooth working and quick access without having to change the apps. Maybe Serif will add the media browser again later? It would be possible.
