I have the same problem. There is no way to select multiple nodes by dragging the selector. And now I can't edit the file in v.1 because it says: "The file includes features from a previous version of Affinity." previous?

Hi @Alfred very important and interesting your contribution, those little details give another visibility and concept to the shape. I think if you don't mind I'll take your idea. Going back to the title post, would you unify the shapes to make the path with colour (gradients as we were seeing) or would you "add both shapes"? By adding we will lose the path of the "O" that goes underneath, won't we?

Hi@firstdefence , thank you very much for your input and it is very interesting your construction. I don't really have to fit the design into restrictive measurements. But the client's brief wanted something that "pointed" like a "direction" or "arrow" and had an R and an O. And out of several proposals that I have passed on to him he has stuck with the original drawing in this thread. Without going a bit off the topic of the post (I accept all possible ideas and criticisms), I see that you also used different segments and then joined them visually with colour. I think that joining independent nodes in two ways is quite complicated.

@NotMyFault thanks again for taking the time to help me find a solution. Now your process is very similar to mine, I like to do this exchange of ideas, because we learn how we have different points of view to get to the same point. After trying many boolean options, I think I have come up with a possible solution, I would like to share it with you. The initial red part was only for differences between the two shapes. I have reduced the combination of shapes as simple as possible, I have highlighted the shape that really helped me to find a final solution by combining the start and end gradients between the donut and the highlighted shape, I pass you the possible final solutions. I don't want it to read as a P, but as an R. If you have any ideas or alternatives, they are welcome. Thanks again.

Hi @NotMyFault, you have understood exactly what I want to do. My problem is the execution, maybe I want to use more exact values with perfect circles and mathematical relations in the size differences of the circles. For example the cut of the final line is another circle. Your solution is excellent, and you have solved the problem in a creative and immediate way. Sometimes we want to complicate our lives by looking for "golden points" "mathematical relations" etc, in the creation of a logo.Although my question remains, how to use "join nodes" from two different shapes to create a more complex one. Hi all, I am very new to handling independent shapes and the boolean options. I am trying to join two shapes, previously separated or subtracted from each other, because I want the bottom part not to join. It's a bit strange, attached as it should be the final result. After putting basic shapes together I have arrived at this: But now I need the circle to be divided from the bottom curve, something like this: According to the original drawing, I should make the complete curve and cut at the intersection. For example if I apply a gradient I can see the complete direction. I hope I understand and you can help me, thank you very much.

@haakoo Excellent solution! And I'm sure I'll use it, but I'm left wondering if it's possible to rasterize layers with blend mode. Edit: With this technique I lose white in some parts of the fruit, like the apple. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for answering. Excuse my English, it's translated. Attached document, the image of the Smoothie has a fusion of "linear underexposure", not to cut the image and streamline my workflow. I have placed underneath, a white ellipse with Gaussian blur to emulate a glow and thus better fuse. I think it's a quick method, since I have to make several flavors. What is my problem? I want to rasterize only the smoothie with the glow to use it in another application as a single image. Hello, I have the whole Affinity suite and my computer, but my question is this... One of the main features of Publisher was the integration of Designer and Photo inside. From there I can edit my illustrations or retouch some photography. That means that if I only get publisher, would I have the whole suite? Or wouldn't they work if I don't have AP and AD installed? Actually Publisher doesn't open an instance of AD or AP when I want to edit something, but does it inside his own App. I would like to understand if the App depends on the installation of the other two. Thank you very much.

Ok I understand, thanks for your response. However, do not you think it should be possible to put 1.91: 1 in the measurement fields in the aspect ratio option? However in the AF preference options, if we can place how many decimals we want for Pixels. Attached image, if I think it's like that. If you do not apologize for my ignorance.

Hello, everybody again. I have a problem trying to crop a photo with the exact aspect ratio that Instagram requests for its publications. Instagram asks for the following ratios, 1:1, 4:5 or 1.91:1 The first two I accept without problems, my problem is when I want to crop an image with the horizontal aspect ratio 1.91:1 I can not place decimals. I tried to do a mathematical operation to make it into Pixels and I got the following measure 1080x565,45 px with the maximum width that Instagram asks for. But in Pixels I can't place decimals either, it's a bug or I can't really set this kind of measurements. Thank you very much if you can help me.
