thanks, found the answer for Paper Name & Corresponding ICC Profile for Canon printers found on canon support download files. for quality & media, ilford media type set to Other Glossy Paper (Wide Margins). here's screenshots from it, maybe for some future people looking for that.

thanks Callum, you’re in color matching / color sync, this work but I’m looking for “quality & media” to find ilford smooth pearl and the only types of paper showing are Canon. or quality & media don’t matter if your color matching is already set?

I got the Ilford prestige smooth pearl photo paper and I want to use it to print an image, Affinity Photo.... go to print / colour matching, the icc profile is there but in quality & media, I can't find it, is there a place I should be adding the Ilford icc profile other than library/color sync folder? -I'm on a Mac -I have Canon pixma pro-10 printer. thanks

thanks, I know .tiff are big, I have quite a few around 1GB per image, I just wanted to see if there’s a way to save some space other than jpeg. I tried flatten, which really just turn to be about the same (+/-50MB) as exporting a 16bit .tiff without keeping layers.

I'm going through different setting for saving files on my hard drive, always saving as .tiff so I got more range of colours with whatever program to be use with. now I'm having some issues and i've been trying many ways of saving with AP and came to that. NEF file is = 69MB save as .tiff 16bit from NEF = 272.7MB open/modified and exporting from AP= save as affinityphoto format 8bit = 482.4MB clicking cmd/S for saving with layer 8bit = 546.7MB export as .tiff without layer 8bit = 33.6MB export as .tiff without layer 16bit = haven't tried that yet -so the question is, why would saving with layer triple the file size?, and that's only using layers and mask, no added images finishing with merge visible. -changing to 8bit from 16bit and deleting the background in snapshot before saving or exporting. how can I save my files with layers without reaching the 500MB size? thanks

is it worth updating to high sierra just for that? that's my main concern, I use DxO lab now for camera / lens correction then send it from there to AP.

exporting dng to jpeg 8bit/16bit and colour profile like adobe 1998 or srgb make a difference. can you give more info?

looking at AP supported plugin, luminar isn’t on the supported list. maybe it would be a good thing to update the list and get some stuff compatible, making a better life away from Adobe Ps?

you can always use NX-D to get the camera/lens correction then send it to AP. that’s the down part of owning a new camera body, its a matter of time before all software get the update.

-Lr, DxO and Capture One are the 3 that I know support D850, and Nikon software. -coming with their next update, Luminar will support it. -Picktorial are working on, the camera profile is done but they need some fine tuning to work on all Mac.

it won’t show you the welcome screen if its unchecked, so you don’t see it everytime you start AP

check “news and information” you’ll find others had asked the same question. open AP and top right menu click ”help” and you’ll see “welcome” which will open the screen to download the freebies. Affinity forum and Affinity are two different login

to get the Welcome screen, open AP and to the top right menu click “help” and you’ll see “welcome” that will open it and you’ll have the screen so you can click geet free stuff. reminder that forum login is different than Affinity login. just so people don’t get confused like I did this morning

I just updated to AP 1.6 and can't login..... well account not recognized. problem solved, forum and Serif are two different account. you guys can delete this thread, thanks for the help

in one they were working on for a release early 2016, in another they are working for a publisher replacement first, in a last one, they are not working on a DAM. so best bet is to get photomechanic for fast culling and cataloging/viewing your images. maybe there will be one for 2020 Lr, ON1, Capture One has one and Luminar is coming with one as well, so these are also some option. Alienskin, Paintshop Pro and ACDSee have image browser?
