    Hey all. I'm using Affinity Designer beta 1.9.0.11 - am I correct in only being able to find the Text Frame Panel by clicking the button in the Context Toolbar when I have a Path Text object selected? It seems to be a proper dockable panel, shouldn't it be in the VIEW > STUDIO menu list? I can't even locate the panel in App store version 1.86. ...It's late here, maybe I need sleep... At the very least I would think that it should be in the Context Toolbar when a Text Frame is active? The Panel I am referring to is attached. Thanks for any insight. 🙂

    Thanks all, I thought based on the help description that that's what It was but it then it started doing these broken line segments and I was like - what now?? Cheers for the speedy responses!

    I'm trying to figure out what this does. It's an option and there is an icon for it in the context toolbar (attached) when the Pen Tool is active but I can't seem to figure it out. The Help description describes what it does but isn't working for me. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks!

    Yes I eventually found it and no it isn't working for me.

    Yep I just noticed that... I just tried it and it embedded the image rather than linked it as I had wanted... so I guess it's not working.

    No. I don't even know where that setting is located. What I'm saying is that if you have an embedded image, using the resource manager will allow you to change it to linked. Where is the "prefer linked" setting? I'm using the mac beta. Whoops just found it in the document setup dialogue. It should be an option as well when using the place image command...

    Yeah this would be a welcomed addition.

    This works for me. It saves the fonts and images as dcarvalho84 mentioned above, using the resources manager to link the images if they are embedded.

    Save as package is a welcomed addition and is going to come in handy! Likewise for presets. Cheers!

    I just tried it on 3 of the glyph shapes - the medical symbol the star shape and the cloud shape. Only the cloud shape worked. The other 2 crashed every time.

    I was wondering if there was a trick for the scroll wheel rotating feature as mine kept zooming in and out until I realized you need to turn off the "Use mouse wheel to zoom" in the tool prefs.
