  1. Yes, it is so flexible that it can replace .PSD, .TIF, .JPG... due to its excellent lossless compression, support for layers, and so on.
  2. Maybe it would be easier and faster if you keep .JPG, .APHOTO, .TIF... files in separate folders? In that case Affinity would just have to ask "Choose the folder with high-res images".
  3. I know it is not the right time for new feature suggestion, because you either work on fixing reported bugs or on a new version (maybe both), but... I think this would be much easier and intuitive way dealing with shortcuts: let's say, open "Layer" menu (Publisher); hold the left mouse button (or finger on a touch screen) pressed a few second over "Convert to Curves"; the "Settings > Shortcuts" panel opens where "Convert to Curves" is located; we can now add/change/delete the shortcut.
  4. I have much better solution. I'll go to gym now. Thanks for your medical advice, anyhow.
  5. Yes, but we would like to be. A person who can peek into the future can be better organized.
  6. You can span table very easy. What we need is table flow from page to page.
  7. Because they were silent even before Canva,
  8. That's because Affinity decided not to communicate with us -- ordinary mortals. I don't know why they don't try to be communicative as VectorStyler developer? All users are informed about new updates/upgrades (roadmap), he answers on all questions...
  9. After a silence, a storm comes. But, better it be all reported bugs fixed instead of a new version.
  10. I don't think it's a good idea, because ID and APub have their own specific features that, if implemented in IDML, will create more problems than benefits. It would be better if Affinity made APML, its own version of IDML. And, why not, it could even include legacy Serif Plus applications.
  11. Whatsoever. Affinity apps need all these import filters to allow users continue their work in the appropriate app. So, I am against export filters except for .RTF. It would be very nice if we get import filters for QuarkXPress (not through Quark IDML), CorelDRAW, Xara...
  12. Before that big, it would be better if they fix the reported bugs first. I'm not sure if anybody is going to buy the next version full of bugs. It works fine for small projects like brochures, covers... that do not need multipage tables, span/split columns... and most important -- print production tools.
  13. I suggested that several times, but nothing. Some users agreed with me and some didn't (including Affinity). But now, with the universal license they offer, they will do it, at a time when all users have that license, without public announcement. They realized that it is much easier and faster to develop it that way.
  14. Well, not quite like that. InDesign has problems importing Cyrillic text (missing footnotes, local formatting problems...). So I prefer .RTF over .DOCX. I set Word to save files in .RTF and now I am fine.
  15. Publisher urgently needs: Text to Table; Table to Text; Linking with the source (changes made in source are updated in Publisher table).
  16. There is PDF Exchange PRO, but still no print production. Maybe in PDF Exchange PRO Extra Ultimate Plus Plus?
  17. If so, why don't you try to make OS or AutoCAD... with Python or JavaScript?
  18. Yes, PixFile has everything Publisher needs to replace Acrobat Pro.
  19. I guess asking for support for the "Quite Imposing Plus" plugin would be too much at this point?
  20. InDesign's "Span Across Columns" is a great feature, but you can't control which column the span should start from. It always starts from the first column. "Split columns" must be added to Publisher, too.
  21. All these as a part of Publisher would be great. No separate app needed.
