  1. Sure it does... But the price of its license? ;) Yep, now it has been rebranded as Bloom. It is more an AD clone... But really chunky.
  2. I don't know... It's up to Serif... I'm sure they will improve painting engine, but don't know the direction that it will take. In any case I think that current engine is strong enough to produce expressive analog-looking strokes, very close to the ones allowed by PS. This is a watercolour set I'll release soon. I planned this pack until the end of January but I'm pretty busy at the moment, so it will delay a bit...
  3. Making photo editing with Fusion or Nuke sounds like to open a door with a cannon... IMHO  It's like to use Substance Painter or Body Paint to make hand-drawn concepts and illustrations or InDesign to write a letter... You can do it obviously, but these tools have been designed for other purposes. A dedicated photo editing node-based tool (without 3D/cameras/particles/timeline... so cheaper than 1k too... ) doesn't exist yet. Or probably I ignore its existence... :) It would be very interesting to see such an editing approach in a DAM tool.
  4. TPL are collections of settings, texture and brush tips (ABR) so they need the very same engine architecture or at least a mapped one to work properly. KTW brushes rely on dual brush feature and some particular texture compositing methods that only PS CS5+ has.
  5. Eheheh... Another one seeking for a node-based photo editor? :) I wonder why nobody ever tried to build a serious one...
  6. I do agree, I'd love to see in future releases (even 2.x) features as inset/offset path, clone/repeat, point operations (multiple add, even/odd selection), simplify, roughen, remove overlaps... Basically sidecar functions to speed up work. Ok I'm done :P
  7. Are you sure Kevin? Mine is always off and I don't have Opacity Jitter... They kickstarted their project to have a solid OSX port... Now they removed OSX icon from their Kickstarter page... Still Pre-Alpha and experimental... <_< ShetckBook Pro added Opacity jitter and a new interesting colour mixing model, even if its engine is still missing basic features IMHO...
  8. Thanks, you're welcome. I've just added a couple of new tools, with slightly different tiles (10 repeating randomly) . The file size increased to 10MB because of an hi-res texture embedded in these two additions. This texture is turned off by default, but if you want can set to it nozzle and see the effect (personally I prefer them "plain").
  9. More than n-part repetition I'll love a "nozzle model" repetition along stroke with control over spacing ( I think DrawPlus has such a feature for vector strokes). So we can replicate some of the brushes available in Pixel persona.
  10. Bad? It had been a bless... They have been removing features since first rebrand (Acrylic), then decided to transform it in a UI editor for XAML and Silverlight (epic fail...). It was a pity to see such an application to be dismantled piece by piece... The same story years before with Altamira Composer.
  11. Well... (update...) A set of 6 simple stupid tools to vent your obsessive-compulsive disorder  These brushes offer a ramp shaped to jitter hues and luminosity of the colour you're painting with. Download here Happy mosaic!
  12. Not yet. Will be possible when Opacity Jitter comes out. In the mean time you can try these workarounds https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/11067-digital-painting-brush-opacity-pressure/?p=67292 https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/11067-digital-painting-brush-opacity-pressure/?p=68992
  13. To see how it works open a web page and copy a selection of text. Open AD/AP and paste into a canvas. You'll notice that the font/colour/size/alignment attributes are retained. If you Paste Without Format only pure text is pasted.
  14. Any plan for something similar in Pixel Persona? :P A stabiliser-like parameter will be very useful for inking purposes
  15. I don't like compositions too much... But it is a design strategy matter... As said before I use them in PS the same way I do in AP. I do prefer the artboard approach for iterations, but It's up to personal habits. I don't know where you are from but in Europe things are far from this price. For single APP plan the price is 19.90 Euros per month VAT included. I need PS and AI and there is no way to have both but paying 47.90 Euros per month (+VAT) Yes... You have Premiere, After Effects, Flash (!), Speedgrade, Lightroom... But I don't need them. It's about 700 Euros/Year. A waste of money I could invest in other more important things...
  16. Shame on me... AD has no canvas flipping... AP has canvas flipping. For digital painting I use mainly AP today, so never noticed it but I was pretty sure the shortcut was in AD too...
  17. AP has Snapshots that work the same way Layer Comps do, or at least the way I use them in PS...
  18. These are insane! Thank you! Have to search for my old stuff from Expression days too... Are you able to run it flawlessly?
