  1. Not at all what I normally do, but had fun masking and blending. As I'm not a normal fan of Zombies, I don't know if this works or not. Feel free to comment or destroy, BUT tell me why!
  2. I hear you about the price, not budget. I started this as someone in the photographic community( repair cameras and lenses) but a complete hobbyist. I started way back with PS7 and used it until the cloud rental was pushed by the A company. Switched to Affinity and was hooked. Little bit different, but not that much. I was sorta upset because no upgrade was offered, but when it went on sale I jumped and haven't looked back. YouTube has definitely changed learning for the better. I watch James Ritson, Olivio Sarikas, Robin Whalley to mention a few> The big deal for me is the compound masks now offered, truly neat once you figure it out>.
  3. I think thats a great tablet choice. I too went with the Xencelabs tablet with those quick keys, replacing my ancient wacom bamboo. You can get the quickkeys later, or something similar. Ive used Affinity for many years and love it. The Quickkeys make it much faster to change brush size, and all keyboard short cuts.
  4. Thank You GaryP! that’s exactly how I did this. As a newbie here, I didn’t know if posting a video or link was proper here. this also shows how to batch them also.
  5. Maybe someone should write a macro for Affinity Photo which does something similar. Odd you mentioned that. The You Tube video by Olivio did just that in the second half of his video. If I had the G'MIC extension, I wouldn't have learned how easy it is to make.
  6. I suspect the © was streched when I was sizing letters. Part of the critical eye needed for perfection. I changed to Flickr!
  7. Always used a simple homade brush for watermarking. Well thats a waste of time, but did work for me. I watched a simple tutorial on other methods, and discovered what I needed was the Pattern tool. Fought with layers and when I rasterized. well it really wasn't that bad here's a sample over one of my flowers. I've switched over to Flickr from Photobucket.
  8. Wow, Have been using Affinity 1 for years. Everything that I need as I'm shooting for myself now. Retirement will be fun once the Drs are done practicing. Version 2 brings compound masks into my life, that was worth the investment in 2 ! a little taste of my playing.
