Hi bruce625 Welcome to the forums, An Afphoto file is document that can only be opened in Affinity Photo. To export to other formats (JPG, PNG, TIFF etc) use the File ▸ Export :)

Hi Elf, Apps from the Mac App Store may be used on any Macs that you own or control for your personal use. You'll just need to log into the MAS account used to purchase the app and then visit the 'Purchased' section of the account and download :) I hope this helps! J

Hi Wopke Welcome to the forums! :) I don't have a one click solution I'm afraid but i've been able to create something similar with just a few steps. Duplicate the background layer Apply HSL adjustment (Alter Hue Shift slider to get desired shade of red) Apply Black and White adjustment Use the Eraser Tool to remove black and white which will reveal the red section. I hope this helps and is what you're looking for, if not i'm sure other users will have some suggestions. :) J

Hi Select both shapes and you'll find the Boolean options at the top of your screen. I've highlighted the 'Add' Boolean operation MEB suggested to use :) J

Hi Jace, Are you in Affinity Designer? If so you'll find the Pen and Pencil tools on the toolbar on the left. I've highlighted these two options for you in the screenshot below. Here's a tutorial we created for using the Pen tool :) J

Hi Brian, When you have removed the background of the image, just export this as a PNG file (File>Export>PNG) This will give you your image with a transparent background. Then you can insert this into another document using File>Place. If this doesn't help, please provide a copy of the files you are working with so I can investigate :) J
