And always searching for more hours in a day :)
  1. Yes, absolutely Dan. Great to hear that you guys want to add this in the future. And I understand that stacking is not something every iPad model is able to do. But the top models are getting better and better, and more capable. Even my 2020 iPad Pro (1 teraBytes) is (still) lightning fast. If your concern is the older iPads, then why not show the Astrophotography persona only on supported iPads? Besides that, maybe you can already add some astro editing features for single images and add the astro stacking feature later?
  2. Hi James, could you do a tutorial about editing astro photos in APhoto v2 for iPad? I know that the astro persona is currently only available for the desktop versions. Since Serif promised us the full experience on the iPad, when will it come to the iPad (Pro) version? But since it's not yet available for the iPad, could you do a tutorial about editing single astro photos?
  3. Hey Walt. when will the astrophotography persona come to iPad then? I believe Serif promised us the full experience on iPad Pro.. Since the astroph. persona isn't available for the iPad yet: Anyone using APhoto v2 for iPad for editing already stacked astro images? I can do some basic editing to improve the overal image quality. But I'm just curious about the experience of others who are actually using APhoto for iPad to edit their astro photos?
  4. Hey guys, how are you doing? Is anyone using his/her APhoto V2 app on the iPad (Pro) for editing astro photos? What is your experience with that and are there any documentation or tutorials/tips on that?
  5. I can indeed still rename a project, but not the individual photos. "Saving as" works, but than you have an extra copy outside of the sandbox. Is there no more option to rename a photo without saving an extra copy?
  6. Thanks Paul, I now have copies outside of the AP and AD folders. I never heard the term 'sandbox' before this V2 update Most people download the AP app and start working in it, learning while looking around. Most don't even see a manual, so they have all their files in the application. I just enrolled into a course for v1 to learn a thing or two and then v2 came available. Now I'll have to wait for the v2 course to come available I guess
  7. Stupid question, but I try it anyway. When I'm using the paint brush I can set the size of the brush on the left side and then the brush size example is obscured by my hand/arm. In v1 the brush size example circle was in the topleft, which was fine. Can I change the position to top left myself or is it fixed? Or should I change the position of the settings panels to the right? Not sure how, appreciate your tips 👍
  8. You're not the only one Jack. I also had to move 600+ files into AP v2 and 400+ into AD v2. They call it "Live docs", but it's just a gallery and I have all files into the application again. But what I did learn from this debacle is that now I also have backups of all files outside of the app and app folders.
  9. Indeed DM1. The trouble is that some people, me included, are working with the application without ever seeing the full manual. You just try something, it works, don't change anything haha Although I still think that Affinity should've done something to get your files into V2 a bit easier... I now have copies of all my files outside of the Affinity folders, but also in the V2 appl. now. Affinity can call it a Live Docs, it's still a gallery and I'm used to having all my files in the application. I'm using/playing/adjusting them constantly and my iPad has enough memory, so that's not going to be a problem. So, now I'm finally finding out what's new in V2 😛
  10. After working 4 or 5 years with the title of a folder beneath the folder I hate it that the title is now ABOVE the folder, but I guess I need to give that some time. But the fact that we now only see 1 thumbnail per folder is a bad decission. In v1 it was easy to see which folder I wanted to open, because you had 4 or 9 thumbnails. I now sometimes have to open 3 or even 4 folders to get the one I want. Is there a setting to get the old lay-out again?
  11. I use the Stage Manager and put v1 next to v2. Make sure the 'same' folders are open. Then push and hold on a file in v1 and slide it to v2. This works for almost all files, but if a file is too big than you get a screen that it's saving, but my experience is that that doesn't work. You may have to open this combi of v1 and v2 screen a few times to get all 'small' files to the other version. Than find out which files didn't make it and I had to save those files and open them separately in v2. It's a bit of work, but this is how I managed to move my 'old' work to the new version. I needed 10 hours to move my 600+ Affinity Photo files to v2, but it worked. Moving my 400 Designer files didn't take that long, but it took a short while to find out how to move the larger files. I don't think this is 'the' way to do it, but this is how it worked for me. I think it's a case of trial and error. Good luck!
  12. No, you need to create a separate Affinity Serif ID. So don't use your apple store or your forum account for it. It took me some time too, but once I had the account I could activate my AD, AP and AP apps.
  13. Thanks a bunch for this wonderful collection. I've been creating a few my self, so I know how much work this has been 👍
