  1. Forgot : That sorts the swatches, but not the Menu & that's what I'd like to see : sort the menu alphabetically.
  2. If I remember correctly, some of these issues were reported a long time ago, but no action has been taken as yet. I would support all the points mentioned, buut would like to add that a mere sorting to alphabet would suit me fine also. C.L.
  3. Re: Glyph Browser : It looks greyed-out, but it's not. Call up the font, place your cursor, pick the ligature you want and double-click it.
  4. Hi, MEB, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, this does not quite solve my problem, >>>>> I think I must be doing something wrong. Can't figure out what though.... Please take a look at the little movie and the attached pic. The screen tolerance it set to max. (48px). When trying to connect the 2 curves, the pen tool gets an addition: 2 little "pages", but NOT a small circle. Then, once (I assume) the 2 nodes should be covering each other, the 2 little pages turn into one little page (pic) but the nodes do NOT join, even though I press the "join nodes" button in the toolbar with both nodes selected. I've also seen a small "cartwheel" appear alongside the pointer (a circle with spokes inside). Haven't been able to replicate this, so I can't make a little movie, sorry. But also in that case, the nodes do not join. I haven't been able to find anything about these additional little icons in the Help file... Maybe you can enlighten me on this. Your help is greatly appreciated, as always. C.L. closecurve.mov closecurve.afphoto
  5. I have been trying to join nodes to one another in AffDesigner. So far, it has not been a smooth ride. Even though I have all manner of snapping option toggled on, still when I try to join a node, it simply does not connect and the object stays "open". I remember from Corel Draw there was a user-defined "Snapping Zone" you could set, e.g. an X-number of pixels in which a node would snap. You didn't even have to be spot-on, just being inside the zone would be enough. So far I have not been able to find it in AffDesigner nor Photo. Is there such a setting and of so, where. And if ther is not, could it be put on the Features List ? Thanks, C.L.
  6. Here's the message that popped up when I tried to import an .abr brush file. These imports always worked fine in earlier versions. Is this going to be remedied ? Thanks C.L. ABR-fail.afphoto
  7. You are not stating which OS you are using : Mac or Windows. In either case, I had a similar problem and I copied the appropriate [XXX].propcol file to the new computer, including the actual brushfiles that were on the HD. For Mac : /Users/username/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto/Data/Library/Application Support/user/ There you'll find the propcol files : raster_brushes.propcol and vector_brushes.propcol. For Affinity Designer it's the same path, but replace "com.seriflabs.affinityphoto" with "com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner". For Windows : Perform a search for *.propcol. Then, copy the appropriate files, plus the actual brushfiles to your new computer.
  8. You might try CDR Viewer 2 from the App Store. It's free, you can view and export CDR files as Vector PDFs. Haven't tried it myself, but it could worth a look-see for you.
  9. You can also manipulate each individual swatch by : >Selecting the swatch >Right-click it. You will get a submenu with the possibilities. You can also copy an individual swatch and place it in a newly created, empty swatch panel. >Hamburger Menu >Add "XXX" Palette > You'll get an empty swatch panel named "Unnamed". Now go back to the desired color to copy : >Select the color, >Right-click Copy >Go to the "Unnamed" panel and choose the Little "+" sign next to the empty panel. The color will be placed in the panel. >Rename the panel to your liking.
  10. Example pic added to original post. Thanks for your comment. C.L.
  11. A-MAZING !!! And thank you so much for sharing !!!
  12. A palette of shades of Purple. Hope you'll find a use for it. Enjoy. Example added, as requested. Purples.afpalette
  13. Thanks, Alfred, that worked. Kind of weird though when you think of it : create a gap in order to close it ???
  14. Problem : I've got a number of closed circles. I want the stroke to be a brush stroke. Once it is a brush stroke, the circle is no longer closed, there is a gap. I've tried to insert a tiny stroke with the same brush over the circle-stroke to close the gap: >Draw stroke >Place over circle-stroke >Select both, >Boolean >Add The result is that the gap doesn't close, it just moves. I don't think it's really possible, but does anyone know how to close the gap? I've also tried the same in Photo, but no joy there either. Gaptest.afdesign Example attached, all help greatly appreciated, thanks. C.L.
  15. Just stumbled upon this, thought I'd mention it: see attachment. Goes for both Designer & Photo (Mac). It might be by design, it might be a bug - that's for the experts to decide . The Grid & Axis Mngr Disappears completely when clicking its Orange Minimize Button and cannot be called back, no matter what. You have to quit & restart the application to get it back, then the Grid&Axis Mngr shows immediately on the screen. Please have a look at the mov file. I did not include the restart in the movie because then the file gets too large to upload, sorry. Grid_Axis_Mngr.mov.zip
  16. Can you elaborate your quesion please. Your example does not contain Dutch hyphenation, only file names with underscore. Dus even iets meer uitleg graag
  17. I've had a similar challenge, albeit not on such a large scale. You don't mention whether you're using AFD or AFP, but I believe the method would be the same What I did : create a new document of sufficient size, select, copy & place the colour guide image(s) on that document. The size of the swatches on the original colour guide is not important, as long as the lot fits on your document. It does'nt matter if there are obsolete colours such as stroke colour amongst the selected lot, you can delete those obsolete swatches later. Choose create pallette from document. Delete obsolete swatches, if present.
