Hey Lamont,
try these ways to transform if you haven't already, though there are a few more functions. Just stick around in the Distortion menu.
But well … the basic transformations are actually pretty obvious, almost poking your eye in the Affinity products, I think. ;)
Cheers

Sie heißt „Body of Knowledge“.

Who said that AD⚡AP is perfect? There are certainly still a lot to improve, but for me there is no turning back to PS. The new apps (mac) from Serif are simply good and impressive, and this forum is absolutely gorgeous. Developers listen to you and give you feedback, most other software companies don't offer this service. :) Gute Nacht.

The haze tool is only in the beta, once well tested it will be in the updates I'm sure. The Beta is the latest out for testing for Affinity owners only.
There are an amazing amount of tutorial videos already for this very new product and the help section is very good as well.

Hello all,
Off the back of the new customer beta we've got two new videos! You'll need to grab the latest beta from here http://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/12638-affinity-photo-customer-beta
Affinity Photo - Haze Removal (Customer Beta 1.3.5.1) Affinity Photo - Accessing Help (Customer Beta 1.3.5.1) The Help video covers how to produce printable versions of topics, so if you've been wanting paper copies to refer to, give the video a watch!

G'Day, I'm Rodney from Australia, a keen amateur photographer using my beloved Fuji X100S.
I just bought the Tutorial for Affinity Photo thru the App Store, also lots to learn.

I set out for a super moon shoot but there were clouds hanging low on the horizon and a storm was moving in from another direction. I turned my attention to the storm since there were the occasional lightning strikes and I wanted to capture them. After trying for a while and getting frustrated at the lack of success, I saw rain starting to close in rapidly on my (exposed) vantage point from yet another direction. I quickly packed up and moved to the closest parking garage. Once I was under a roof, I experimented with Live Composite captures (mode available on Olympus cameras) of varying duration for over an hour before the lightning storm finally started picking up and I was getting at least one strike every few minutes.
What you see above is the final result of merging six different live composite shots for lightning strikes. Three more shots were used to to retrieve (and add) details in the buildings, the lights in the windows, and the traffic light streaks using Affinity Photo 1.3.5. Photo clickable for full res.

Questions, comments and (constructive) criticism very welcome.

Hi!
I'd like to share the last painting I made.
I sketched the scene and the "cat" directly on AffinityPhoto using my pencils (that can be downloaded here)
This is the value painting step, I used some Gouaches from the available set and new ones I created for this specific work. And at the end colours! I was looking for a movie-like toning. For this step I used only Recolour and Curve Adjustment layers clipped by painting layers (Foreground/Lion/Fog/Background/Sky) and applyed a bit of sharpening to enhance strokes.
