  1. @lphilpot Well, now you bring that up, seems to be a great idea. As soon as I am being bored I'll start with that. Just a bit patience may help though. \
  2. @v_kyr Bought the book about Affinity Photo V2 last night, book and e-book. For the macro's there is no better info than I already had. Thank you for your hint. Couldn't find a V1, but that woun't be a problem I guess. A book is great. Sitting in the garden and reading is far more pleasing than staring at a screen. The macro's still are a nasty thing to work with. Heard someone say one can use a macro in a macro. Not found that workaround yet, but it may be a solution to adding a watermark to different file sizes with one click. Time will tell. Thank you once more. Regards.
  3. Thank you. Diving into some things makes it handy to read and reread stuff a few times.
  4. Thank you v_kyr for the links; the german version probably will do. Even it is for V2, many things will be the same. And I already have version 2, though not installed yet.
  5. At v_kyr and walt.farrel: thank you for this info. I did several searches a while ago, but only got v2 info. Using the help menu is a great idea which I haven't used. Only F1. Not the tutorials. Glad there will be enough info to continue. That said, still agree with MoonKnight2 that it is a pity there are no books anymore. So be it. Thanks everyone for helping me/us out. Discussion may be closed.
  6. That would not be a problem. Not at all. Maybe not everything will be covered correctly, but the main idea will be easier to understand. And... everyone is free to decide to buy or not. One other problem is that there are no links to he explaining video's of version 1. Or they are well hidden. So, how to study if one has decided not -yet- to go for version 2. Or, that's an old one now, for version 2.1. I hate that continuous changing of icons, menu's, etc. That costs me so much energy, that I prefer to put into creating fine work. Reasons enough to not publish a book. Reasons enough to do publish a book. Or keep the video's of the different versions available. Because someone at Serif decides that a book is an oldfashioned way of helping customers. This discussion is enough for me. I have my ideas about this way of treating costumers. I sure do. Thank you. Have fun with the Affinity programs.
  7. Well, that's what I call aftersales. There are very many that prefer reading and learning from a book. Lost chance. There certainly will be books available. From others.
  8. This answer if from a year ago. How long does it take to publish a book? Problems with the design maybe?
  9. Did so. Thank you for paying attention to this. Regards JoesB
  10. Hi everyone, new here, so forgive me any mistakes. For your information... Was trying to make one of my first files in Publisher. Had a webpage with simple text and a few images. Tried to copy and paste text and images, to shorten the whole story and make it easier to read. Copying text was fine. Copying first image too, but the second image somehow was copied, since there was a new layer. Couldn't see the picture. Retried several times. New added layers, not visible. Then I started working with the text and creating styles. Worked fine. Placed a picture. Added more styles. Added a picture, but I guess the alignment was set to the centre. Part of the picture fell outside the page, so I moved it. The text became covered behind the picture. I tried to have the text wrap around the image, at that moment the program just simply crashed completely. Retried, same result. Still unable to find the placed pictures. Deleted them, created a copy via Elements and placed the images as wanted. For my problems with a Dutch dictionary I will search the forum first. As far as what I heave read, there were no solutions that worked for me, so will try a bit more. Thank you. Affinity-DTP-text-wrap-error-program-stops-2021-12-29 21-04-05-008.mp4
