  1. Photo(s) of "Head of Bearded man" (Greek, 160-150 BC, Getty Museum, Los Angeles, CA) were processed in Affinity Photo. Illustration completed in Affinity Designer.
  2. Being a designer and having no idea about "dodge and burn," "leading," "bleed," "upper and lower case", "layer blending" etc. sorry to say so but... it's like being criminally ignorant!
  3. You guys made me remember "words" that I did not use for decades... "letraset"... words that I have completely forgot... this is a time machine trip!
  4. Electricity down? No problem, there are plenty of acrylics and watercolors and hundreds of brushes in my closet, and if I like the results I frame them and hung them on the hallway walls.... πŸ™‚
  5. I think I know what you mean... I took some classes for Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. about 25 years ago... Every time I was going for the class, not only me, I think most of the students, we were feeling like going to class at the age of 8. We were trying to render a two minute Premiere clip and we had to wait for hours, we had not the proper computers and software at home, and learning in general at that time was a real pain. Simple projects that today take only 5-10 minutes could take hours, and when the time came for learning 3D that was even worse, even for very simple and extremely short projects. I remember we were leaving stickers and notes on the screen... "Do not touch, rendering in progress" and let the computer run, sometimes for days! And of course the only software we could use were Adobe(!) which at that time were a pain to learn and master. So much better today with powerful computers and a plethora of software.
  6. When I was a teenager such things as computers and software did not exist, I am assuming the same goes for you too, and sometimes I wonder how different my life would be if I had access to all these wonderful tools. The young people today are so lucky that they have so many different choices in order to dive into art and become creators. Oh well... I guess in our case it's better late than never!πŸ™‚
  7. There is also something else... Allot of people after getting comfortable with a software, they are "afraid" to start learning a new software and learn new technics etc. I am not a youngster myself but I love to learn, give me photo or video or music software and I will try to master them as much as I can.
  8. Yes you are right, I was looking for some kind of vintage. On this one I stopped the process when I saw that it was a kind of vintage but very vivid, almost like 3D, not like allot of other vintage-old camera versions that their colors are "washed out". PS I loved thisπŸ™‚ Due to the fact that Boris Johnson is now our Prime Minister, punctuation, spelling and grammar will never be worried about ever again. We now have far bigger problems to be worried about.
  9. Effortless simple editing and adjustments in few seconds in Affinity Photo, can lead into surprisingly nice results.
  10. You are right, it's a matter of how each one of us looks at the composition. I did try to cover the moon with clouds but I didn't like it much... I wanted to show the whole moon, because when it is hidden looks to me that the main subject that attracts the attention is only the skeleton, while I wanted both of them to be in the center of attention.
  11. Thank you for your kind words! PS I am living in Southern California and you remind me the wonderful trips I had in Germany! Dusseldorf, Berlin, Koln, etc. The History of this country, the architecture, the landscapes, the people, I have not enough words on how much I love your country!😊
