Bug with Titillium typeface
Andrew Tang replied to lexislav's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on macOS threads
I believe the issue with the Titilium font is fixed with the latest beta, is it not? -
You will most likely always be on the latest version so this issue never becomes a problem. It's just more apparent this time around because the only Windows version is the beta which is base on 1.5 technology. Also I want to take this chance to say that the betas should never really be used for serious work as technology is still in flux, even though we will try our hardest to keep it all stable.

Problems with fonts
Andrew Tang replied to Michail's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on Windows threads
The font Beck Sonderzeichen is broken. It replaces Arial at all levels of OS X when installed. This is not an affinity bug since the font itself contains references to Arial. -
> I do not understand why that extra step is necessary or why it is still there after all the complaints about it. This is to stop you accidentally changing your selection's fill without realising it since the Colour well reflects your selection's fill state. Hence why you need to specifically say you want it to change by choosing the colour picker well. Admittedly, this is a vector issue rather than a raster issue since there is no reason when there are no selection (or capable of making a selection) not to change the default fill which would be reflected by the colour well when there are no selection.

You can double click on the active tab to minimise it. Alternately, if your mouse supports a middle mouse button, you can middle button click the active tab to do the same. :)

License Number
Andrew Tang replied to wessew12's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
There is no license number as all purchases is handled by the Mac App Store. All you need to do is log into the Mac App Store with your Apple account, and the app will appear underneath purchases for download and install. -

Which Persona, and which Tool are you in? -
Eye dropper tool
Andrew Tang replied to AshTeriyaki's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on macOS threads
I'm not sure what you mean by opposite. Here is how it is working for me: - In the vector persona. - Click on the 'Colour Picker Tool' in the tool panel on the left side. - The mouse icon is now a pipette. - Click on an object to retrieve it's colour. - The colour well in the Colour panel will now change to your chosen colour. - Click on the 'Select Tool' in the tool panel on the left side. - Select a new object that you wish to apply the colour to. - Click on the colour well in the Colour panel to apply picked colour. -
Currently, viewpoints are just fixed location in document space and aren't affected by any objects or art board within that document. This could be added as a feature request as there are currently no plans to improve them and thus they must be adjusted manually. This is fixed for the next beta release. :)

Command-M is "Curves"
Andrew Tang replied to Australian Zoomer's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Hi all, Fixx is correct and that it was a conscious decision to moved the Cmd+M shortcut to Adjustments > Curves. However, you can reassign this back to Minimise. The Minimise menu item is under Window for the Mac OS and is available in the MAS version. AndyT -
I'm afraid this is the way OS X Popup Buttons work. They will always place the selected item over the control if possible. There isn't anything we can do about that as the system decides how to display the menu. The adjustment filter is not a Popup Button but simply a menu so there maybe something we can do.
