JBSF
I updated Affinity Photo the other day from Apple's App Store, and it has been a nightmare since. It locks up constantly, the spinning pizza wheel runs constantly, it takes forever to complete a command, and eventually I have to force quit, because my laptop says it is not responding. Suggestions? Can I get rid of this update and revert to the older version?

JBSF
Mine is a late 2011 MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6. Canon DPP and Photo Ninja work perfectly, and Affinity did until I did the 1.7.2 update.

JBSF
Correct. 1.7.2 was new just last month I believe, and Affinity would not run properly after I installed that update. They just released 1.7.3, which was to fix some bugs, and I installed it this morning. It really seemed to mess with my computer, as it took well over a half hour to load. The software ran worse after installing it. I have tried closing all other software and have restarted the computer a couple times, and it seems to be better, but is still slow. Staff Dan C Posted October 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 8, 2019 Hi JBSF Sorry to hear you're having trouble! Resetting the app back to default settings may help here - you can do this by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. https://player.vimeo.com/video/189596577/ Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
