EddyB
Hi all. So far i´m using my notebook and I´m nearly happy with Affinity Photo. Now here is a new desktop pc with more power and Geforce 2080. The problem in Develop Persona is, that the picture looks much too dark, while the icon shown in Navigator tab is correct also in Photo Persona when it was developed without changes. The only way to change the preview is, to modify exposure and gamma in 32 Bit preview tab but these changes aren´t saved permanently, so I had to adjust every time again. Some ideas? Thx! HVDB Photography
Hi @EddyB, Serif use its own RAW engine. In the assistant manager you can set "Tone curve : Apply tone curve"What the help file tells : "Tone curve: If the default 'Apply tone curve' option is active, your raw image is adjusted using a suggested tone curve. The 'Take no action' option makes no tonal correction; the image can be altered within the Basic panel later." EddyB
Thx Hubert, "apply tone curce" ist set as you can see in the screenshot. I´d played around with all parameters - nothing will fix this.
Staff Chris B Posted October 3, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 3, 2019 Hey EddyB, I believe this is caused by a bug that seems to be forcing the Unmanaged preview for 32-bit images. Please follow these steps to reset Affinity: Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard Paste this command in - %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\ Rename the 1.0 folder to 1.1 Relaunch Affinity This will have safely reset the app and should fix the dark preview issue for you.
