offset, outline strokes like in ai?

Anyway to offset, outline strokes in AD?  ai nameplace stroke at very

bottom in image.

Yo Kat, there is no offset path yet, so you have to use the expand stroke workaround.

You can also use the Appearance panel to also add multiple strokes and layer them.

I just learned about the appearance panel this weekend watching Affinity Designer Quick Start

I used a similar approach to closely match a company letterhead. In this case I stacked artistic text layers with varying drop shadows rather than strokes.

I'm getting used to it slowly. I had lots of Astute Graphics tools for ai. Frankly, AD works better, despite no offset which was kind of hard to understand anyway.
