foto-grafic Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Hi, I apologize for the trivial question; in APh how do you get back to black and white quickly? Thanks... Quote
Staff MEB Posted September 23, 2019 Staff Posted September 23, 2019 Hi foto-grafic, Press "D". The shortcut can be customised in Affinity Preferences if you prefer other key. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
foto-grafic Posted September 23, 2019 Author Posted September 23, 2019 Thanks MEB for the answer, I'm on Windows 7 and your suggestion, unfortunately, doesn't work ... Quote
foto-grafic Posted September 23, 2019 Author Posted September 23, 2019 I went to Preferences>Keyboard shortcuts, but I can't find the correspondence, what to do? Quote
Staff MEB Posted September 23, 2019 Staff Posted September 23, 2019 Hi foto-grafic, In the Preferences, Keyboard Shortcuts section set the first dropdown to Photo and the second to Miscellaneous - should be the 5th item in the list. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

"Set fill to black and white" doesn't have a default shortcut on Windows. Should it have one? Does it have one on Mac? Staff MEB Posted September 23, 2019 Staff Posted September 23, 2019 Hi walt, On Mac it's set to D by default. I will check on Windows - in case it's not there by default I will log this. [EDIT] You're right. It's not set to D by default on Windows. Issue logged. Thanks. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
walt.farrell Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 You're welcome, Miguel. It's something I've wondered about, but never thought to mention before, and this seemed a good opportunity. foto-grafic Posted September 23, 2019 Author Posted September 23, 2019 Perfect! thanks to @MEB and @ walt.farrell I solved; in fact on Win there is no default, but I must point out that in Photo> Miscellaneous the entry is not in fifth place but is in the 36th. Thank you and goodbye... Quote
walt.farrell Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 It's #7 on Windows, if using US English. You didn't tell us you were using an Italian UI, though we might have guessed that from your location Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. foto-grafic Posted September 24, 2019 Author Posted September 24, 2019 Hi walt, yes, use the Italian version, logically the diversity of the language affects the alphabetical ordering. The important thing is to have solved, after assigning the letter D to 'Imposta riempimento su Bianco e nero' I could finally have at the touch of a button the setting of black and white; I work very often with masks and this helps me a lot. Thanks again to you and @MEB for collaboration ... walt.farrell 1 Quote
