Hi guys,

This bug still exists for all three apps.

When I'm working in the full screen mode (which I always do) I can't close the app using the close button in the top bar. I have to exit full screen first and then close it (the close button is working then) or close it from the dock. Any chance to fix that, please?

Hi Pix,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
I've logged this to be looked at.
When you click the Close button (the red circle) it never closes the app, it keeps running in background unless you explicitly close it through the menu or right-clicking the icon on the dock and selecting Quit.

@MEB thank you for a quick reply.

I hope you could have a look at this, as from the UX point of view it doesn't seem very intuitive.

Based on an action-reaction chain, if a user clicks the Close button, he expects a close action to happen. Having the design good practices in mind, closing the app from the menu or from the dock or even after exiting full-screen, is just an unnecessary additional click that user has to make in order to receive the expected outcome.

From your products UI and from the workflow and fresh idea of the creative suite, I know that you have a great in-house team of designers and developers. But if I could bring an idea to the table then I'd like to suggest this: The 'Close' action would be much more intuitive if after hitting Close button in the full-screen mode, the app was still running in the background but it would have closed the UI and consequently released the additional screen it was using. This would be consistent with the native macOs apps behaviour and produce the expected action for the user.

I know it's a relatively small thing that I'm bringing up and making fuss about, but I really think it matters. And it's really not about user-lazyness :)  - it's just an idea to increase consistency and align the whole experience with macOs users' habits. I'll leave it with you whether or not it makes sense :)

When I close a window I neither expect nor want the application to quit.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
