artycraftyrosie
Hi - when I try to print off my black and white or coloured designs the page just comes out black (covered in black ink) with no design showing. It has only recently started doing this since I upgraded to 1.7 and also downloaded some brushes - this may or may not be a co-incidence. I have used the gradient and colour tools recently - could I have pressed something? I have reset the brushes to default but it is still doing it. Any ideas? firstdefence
The Lipstick file prints out as I would expect, no blocks of black. Can you attach the file shown in the printed image. firstdefence
@artycraftyrosie This prints out as expected too Rosie. I wonder if this is an issue with printer settings or the printer drivers? does this happen with any other software? Can you export the document to something like a PDF or a PNG file and print from Explorer or Finder if you are on Mac? artycraftyrosie
Hi - thank you for your reply. I have printed the 2 designs you have seen on 2 different printers - I laser, 1 inkjet and the results were the same - large areas of grey/black. I designed a completely new image in affinity photo last night and the same thing happened when I printed the image off. I have exported the carnation design to a PDF and it printed off fine - no problems at all. Images on photoshop are printing off OK I did install some free crayon brushes the other day - could this have caused a glitch? and I have also updated recently to 1.7. Many thanks for your help. PaulEC
I have no idea why, but I tried printing to two different virtual PDF printers. One had the black areas and the other looked fine!. artycraftyrosie
Hi - thank you for your reply. Do you think my best option would be to uninstall Affinity Designer and reinstall it.? Could the downloaded brushes have caused the problem? Rosie

artycraftyrosie
Hi Callum - thank you very much for your reply. No - I am able print it off as a pdf without any of the black areas. I will try to delete the other thread I started. Rosie
