I have a document made up 10 pages each page is an artboard layer. I want to delete page one artboard and add a new page one artboard. How do I do this?

If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed!

Just to clarify, since you mentioned "pages", are you talking about Designer or Publisher?

Assuming it is Designer, your question is a bit confusing because Designer doesn't have pages. It only has a single canvas, or one or more artboards. You can certainly Print a bunch of artboards, or export them as a PDF, and each will be a page in that scenario. But they're just artboards as far as Designer is concerned.

Your choices, I think:

  1. You might consider just deleting all the content from the page one artboard you already have, and adding new content.
  2. Or, you could delete the artboard, make a new one, and then move it to the bottom of the layer stack. Artboards are printed, or exported to PDF, from the bottom of the layer stack (page 1) to the top (page n).

Thanks Walt it was AD I was using.

I got round the problem by using Mac's 'Preview' to open the pdf, copied all the pages and pasted them into a new Open Office document and did the editing there.

Why not simply either delete or move off Artboard 1 (not "page one" because Affinity Designer does not have pages) all its content, & then use the existing Artboard 1, resized if needed, for the new Artboard 1 content?

Thanks RC. I was going to explain why that didn't work for me but on trying again it did. However I have since used Preview for editing the doc.
