DDG Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Placing a white image (png or jpg) into Publisher.. the export to PDF produces a visible shade of the space occupied of the white object. (3% -ish) The PDFs then show these marks visibly on screen and for display.. although I haven't yet seen any shading if sent to print. Quote
DDG Posted July 19, 2019 Author Posted July 19, 2019 much appreciate your interest.. PDF Expert & also Mac's Preview both show the tonality of the area doesn't appear if the same objects are placed into InDesign and then written out to PDF... thank you.. Quote
Staff Pauls Posted July 19, 2019 Staff Posted July 19, 2019 Maybe a colour conversion difference between the apps. What are the colour settings in preferences for Publisher ? Quote
mac_heibu Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Can’t reproduce this – neither with CMYK nor with RGB. Can you attach the Publisher file and the PDF? Quote
DDG Posted July 19, 2019 Author Posted July 19, 2019 Ok, I have everything here that was used... thanks indeed test to SERIF.zip Quote

DDG Posted July 19, 2019 Author Posted July 19, 2019 Ok... an example... MacBook pro into Dell 27' monitor here... thanks Paul Quote
Staff Pauls Posted July 22, 2019 Staff Posted July 22, 2019 I literally don't see any difference in that image - ( hope its not my eyesight) Quote
Old Bruce Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 There is a difference. Extremely slight but it is there. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
