avyclaire Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Hello, I watched the video about linked text frames and in it, the tutor showed how to place text by choosing a document file. When I try to do this, and navigate on my hard drive for a document file, non are available. They are all grayed out. I have the text frame selected and am doing everything I see being done in the video. Can anyone suggest why this is happening? Quote

If you use the command "File" > "Place..." then you will see less grayed out files and get access to .txt, .rtf, .docx for instance.
