Flick Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Hi, Is anyone else having trouble linking designer and photo into publisher. I have purchased all 3 apps and now the studiolink said that I need to purchase the apps, what am i doing wrong! Quote
Alfred Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Have you opened the latest versions of Designer and Photo since installing Publisher? If you’re still struggling, please tell us which platform you’re on (Mac or Windows) and where you purchased the various apps in the suite. Flick Posted June 23, 2019 Author Posted June 23, 2019 Hi Alfred, Yes all apps are the 1.7 I even uninstalled and re-installed them. I am using windows, Designer and photo purchased in 2016 from the Affinity website Quote

Fantoga Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Open Designer. Open Photo. Open Publisher. In Publisher click the Photo link and then the Designer link to test. Quote
Fantoga Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Strange. Works amazingly well here on 2 systems. Did have to start Designer and Photo up to get the link to work the first time. I'd Email support directly. Quote
Kippo Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 I'm having the exact same issue (on Windows 11). I purchased Publisher in July and Designer today (Dec 1, 2024). Both are up to date (2.5.6), I've signed into my account on both, and yet I get the exact same message -- that I need to purchase Designer and that it is not installed. Both are installed, both have been opened (tried opening each one first, then the other; same result), both are signed in under my account. I've only found this topic addressed here, so it would appear to be a rare occurrence. Can this only be addressed by direct contact with support? Quote
GarryP Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 This is a really old thread which was started before there were two different ways to install the applications. Make sure that you have installed all of the applications in the same way – i.e. all MSIX or all MSI/EXE. Quote
Kippo Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Thanks. They were different installs. matching them fixed the issue. GarryP 1 Quote
